I have two kids enrolled at this New Journey location (switched over from the Sunset location to be closer to our home). In total, we've been enrolled with New Journey for about 3 years. Both locations are great, the teachers are truly wonderful, and our kids are thriving thanks to their support.
Dave YenJun 17, 2026We’ve had a really great experience at New Journey Preschool. Our daughter has been there for almost a year now, and the progress she’s made - especially with Mandarin - has been incredible. She started with no Mandarin at all and now speaks it confidently. The school is very well run and organized, and communication has always been great. The teachers are kind, attentive, and genuinely care about the kids. We also love that they spend time outdoors in Golden Gate Park every day. The hours work well for working parents, the days are well structured, and the fact that they’re open year-round (no long summer break) has been a huge plus for our family. Overall, we feel really lucky to have found New Journey and would absolutely recommend it to others.
Sam WynbrandtDec 13, 2025We have had a fantastic experience at New Journey in the Richmond! We have been with them for over a year with one kid in the infant class and one in the preschool class. The teachers are outstanding; they take lots of pictures and give us feedback to keep us informed, and our daughter tells us about how much she loves them. Management is very responsive and collaborative and use the Brightwheel app which is excellent. The curriculum is so intentional and involved! There is a theme every month and they make so much effort to take the kids on excursions (e.g. to library or Cal Academy) and bring folks to the daycare (e.g. during the community helpers themed month brought firefighters and police officers etc to class to show the kids and took them to the post office). The interior space is new and clean and fun and they also go outside to Golden Gate Park every single day unless its raining. They feed the kids healthy morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. And our daughter's Mandarin proficiency has improved incredibly since starting to where she is very comfortable conversing. Would highly recommend this daycare!

The teachers are incredibly communicative attentive to our daughters growth. The proximity to Golden Gate Park is great for getting the daily dose of nature and fresh air and we are very please with the thoughtful curriculum.
Alyssa GarciaNov 6, 2025We absolutely love New Journey Mandarin Immersion Preschool! The teachers are warm, patient, and genuinely care about each child’s growth. Our little one has blossomed socially and now understands so much Mandarin. The classrooms renewly remodeled, clean and bright, the curriculum is thoughtfully designed, and the staff communicates really well with parents. You can tell they put a lot of heart into creating a nurturing, language-rich environment. We’re so grateful to have found this school and couldn’t recommend it more!
