Licensing visits on record
California records 0 routine inspection visits and no visits prompted by a complaint to NEW LEARNING GROVE ACADEMY.
What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

It is very good place where kids have fun and the best part of equal importance is given to academics. The staff is kind and friendly and are very accommodating. Miss Susan really went above and beyond to help my son with his academics. Miss suganya takes good care of all kids and makes sure kids feel at home. I would highly recommend this place.
Deepak KosarajuMay 30, 2026My 7th grader has been attending the NLGA after-school program, and we’ve had a wonderful experience. He has picked up strong academic skills and improved a lot in his studies. The program also encourages activities like public speaking, which has helped him gain a lot of confidence. It’s great to see him learning new things and becoming more confident every day. We truly encourage all to join the program.
Swati SMar 14, 2026The academy has a very friendly atmosphere and teachers are caring and dependable. The facility itself is clean and organized.
Sanjana GattuMar 9, 2026My daughter has been attending this after-school program for a few months and absolutely loves it. The staff is caring and attentive, and she always looks forward to going. Highly recommend!
disha savariaJan 29, 2026We have had a wonderful experience at New Learning Grove Academy, especially with our daughter who attends the TK class. The environment is warm, nurturing, and well-structured, making it a great place for young children to learn and grow. A special thank you to Ms. Bela, who is a truly exceptional teacher. She is patient, caring, and deeply invested in each child's development. Her dedication shows in the way she engages the children, encourages curiosity, and supports both academic and social growth. Our daughter feels comfortable, confident, and excited to go to school every day because of her. The TK curriculum strikes a great balance between learning and play, helping prepare children for kindergarten while still keeping things fun and age-appropriate. Communication with parents is clear and consistent, thanks to Ms.Suganya! Also, the facility is always clean and safe. As parents, we have complete peace of mind knowing our child is in such capable and caring hands. We highly recommend New Learning Grove Academy to any family looking for a positive and enriching early education experience.
DG HomeJan 12, 2026My son has been going to NLG for the past 5 months and I have been really satisfied with the staff and the owner. The registration was so easy and Miss Susan ( my son’s teacher) is really thorough with the work and I appreciate her dedication towards my son’s improvement. Miss Suganya instantly answers all my questions which keeps me at peace. Miss Megha is always striving towards quality education for the kids and comes up with all the new programs for Fridays which is an add on. There is also taekwondo class that is inside the center which saves me time and energy from driving. I have a very picky eater and yet he loves to eat the fresh food that is served for lunch.(quesadillas being his favorite). We also get the menu on sundays so it helps me pack his school lunch accordingly. They celebrate the different holidays and the staff are super friendly. I can keep adding more good things about this place. Overall I would highly recommend this center for after school program.

Questions parents ask about NEW LEARNING GROVE ACADEMY
Is NEW LEARNING GROVE ACADEMY a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. NEW LEARNING GROVE ACADEMY holds California licence 015701522, currently listed as "PENDING" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does NEW LEARNING GROVE ACADEMY hold?
- California licenses NEW LEARNING GROVE ACADEMY as a single licensed child care center, a category that covers infant, preschool and school-age care under a single licence. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can NEW LEARNING GROVE ACADEMY care for?
- NEW LEARNING GROVE ACADEMY is licensed for up to 55 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
Has California visited NEW LEARNING GROVE ACADEMY in response to a complaint?
- California records no complaint-driven visits to NEW LEARNING GROVE ACADEMY. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.
Who holds the licence for NEW LEARNING GROVE ACADEMY?
- The licence is held by SHINING STAARZ LLC. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Alameda County.
