  My son has been attending Nor for the past two years, and we couldn’t be more grateful. He’s grown so much—becoming more curious, confident, and open to trying new things, even new foods! His language skills in both Armenian and English have blossomed, and it’s been amazing to watch him express himself more clearly every day. The teachers truly care and create a warm, nurturing space where learning feels natural and fun. We’re so thankful for the love and support they’ve given our son during these early years.

  Let me start by saying... you won't find a more caring experienced, and dedicated school staff anywhere. The teachers and staff have become a second family to my son. Since attending Nor children's school l've noticed a very positive change in my son He is happy, eager, and content to be there.   Cross-posting from Yelp: Both my kids attended Nor and we have been SO impressed with their unique approach to learning and play. Nor is a play and nature based preschool for ages 2 to 5 years old inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. It's bilingual in both Armenian and English. They focus on enhancing a child's curiosity and imagination and activities are all very sensory focused. The kids play in the sand, water, with real life sized items made of natural material such as wood, and they also include music class by a dedicated music teacher. Some examples of activities include: field trip to the post office and flower shop in the area, ice cream truck stopping by and kids using their own money to buy ice cream, painting with broccoli, cracking ice balls to escape the Dinos, farm animals petting zoo, and various presentations in the older class. Food is organic and all cookware is non-toxic. Menu is shared monthly and my daughter loves the healthy food options like homemade burgers (made with bulgur and organic beef) and homemade soups, homemade smoothies and juices, and pancakes with honey. The kids also make their own cake for their birthdays which is very adorable! Additionally, there's an app where they send a dozen photos daily along with a very detailed outline of the day. Overall, I'm very happy to have found such a lovely and nurturing school environment for my kids. Their purpose is to heighten a child's self efficacy so that they believe that they can do difficult things. It's been a pleasure sending my kids here.

  We are so grateful to have found Nor Children's School from the very first day. We started when my daughter was 2 yo. we’ve been impressed with how warm and welcoming the environment is. The teachers are kind, patient, and truly dedicated to nurturing each child’s unique potential. The Armenian language and culture are beautifully integrated into the curriculum, and it's been wonderful to see our child learning about their heritage in such a meaningful way. Their approach to teaching works wonders here, giving my child the opportunity to grow independently while engaging in hands-on learning experiences. We also appreciate the focus on building a strong foundation of respect, kindness, and community. Communication with the staff is excellent, and we always feel informed about our child's development. I highly recommend Nor Children's School to any family looking for a loving, educational, and culturally rich environment for their child!

  I enrolled my two children in Nor Children's School as a transition from a different program. Their demeanor and joy to attend this school is palpable. They wake up every morning excited for the day. My oldest asks me "what are we doing today at school?" every morning, knowing that a new activity awaits her. The teachers there are kind, well educated in their teaching strategies, willing to put in the extra time, and the program is welcoming. I feel that I have joined a community with this new school. When they get home from school, I don't feel like they need to decompress from a long day, but rather excitement to involve us and tell us about their day. I wholeheartedly recommend that you take a tour of this program. They truly are one of the best in the neighborhood.
