What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • We love this school so much! It’s such a wonderful space for kids to have their first “school” experience! The play yard is so magical and the community of teachers and parents makes this school really special

  • Parents Nursery School is a magical place full of love and care. It has brought immeasurable joy into our families life and I am endlessly grateful for this school. We started when my daughter was 2.5 years old, I was able to stay with her for the first few weeks to get her comfortable and for the teachers to get to know her. She's very slow to warm so this was a lovely way for her to build confidence and trust with other adults while I was still present. She is now 4 and PNS is her favorite place in the world. Everyday she wakes up and asks if she gets to go to school. She is almost disappointed when the weekend comes and she can't go and play with her friends. All of the teachers at this school are such special and incredible humans. They show every child tremendous love and care, truly getting to know each one and building true connections with them. The yards are beautiful, the kids have so much space to run around and adventure in a safe space. We were new to the area when we started at PNS and this school became our community. The parents became some of our close friends, lending to play dates and time spent outside of school as well. My daughter and myself have made life long friends at this school, something I'll be forever grateful for. I love PNS, I wish we could go here forever.

  • Every time my husband and I talk about our daughter’s days at PNS, we’re reminded what a great decision it was to start her there at just 2 years old (She’s 4 now). Honestly, we fell in love with PNS at first sight—who could resist that amazing yard? But we quickly realized it’s so much more than just a beautiful outdoor space. The environment is incredibly nurturing and supportive, and the teachers truly know each child. We've watched our daughter grow and thrive in ways that constantly reassure us we chose the right place. Although this coming year will be our last at PNS, I already find myself missing it.

  • I LOVE PNS! More importantly, my 2 daughters LOVE(D) PNS! 8 years after "graduating" my older daughter, we are back with the younger one! I must admit, we originally came for the yard (the most amazing outdoor nature adventure zone with chickens and guineas), but stayed for the teachers (who have been there for many years) and the play-based philosophy that inspires curiosity, problem solving, adventure, confidence, independence. I love picking up my daughter (usually with sandy toes, paint stained clothes and chive breath (her veggie of choice from a huge edible garden) and hearing her magical stories with friends (playing in the sprinklers, creating huge magnatile towers, dancing with scarves with the Music Teacher) Being 2 busy working parents, we have carved out time to be involved in our children's early education. I also made new friends (which is so difficult to do as an adult!). I actually picked up playing the ukelele after trying it out with the kids during their weekly music time! There are very few places left like this, and we feel so lucky to be a part of this nurturing community in a world that has become so fast-paced, busy and rigorous. "Keep it safe. Keep it friendly" - we use this school motto at home all the time :)

  • On the day touring PNS, I felt a sense of peace. The kids were playing happily and pleasantly inside and outside. The warm smell of some bakery came from the little kitchen along with some casual talks and laughters of the parents who volunteered to prepare the snacks. And the moms, dads and grand parents had been smiling and cooperating. It was like a family full of respect and love. I felt the atmosphere through lots of details, so I told myself immediately that this is just the preschool I had been looking for my kid. Needless to say the very spacious yard with chickens, guinea pigs, little farm, play structures and other facilities, all very enjoyable. The trees, several garden pipes, etc also made this site more like a big family.

  • PNS has been a wonderful community for our family to be part of. Our son loves the huge yard and range of activities he can choose to do. Occasionally he goes inside! Interacting with other children in a child led environment has been great for his social development and being a co-op I am able to see this first hand. The co-op experience has allowed me to learn first hand from trained practitioners in dealing with the inevitable challenges our small people throw our way every now and again.

What kind of child care licence does PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL hold?

How many children can PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL care for?

PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL is licensed for up to 60 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.

How often has California inspected PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL?

California records 4 inspection visits to PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL, the most recent on June 4, 2026 and the earliest on record August 16, 2022. Has California visited PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL in response to a complaint?

California records 4 complaint-driven visits to PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL. A complaint visit means someone raised a concern and the state went to look. California does not publish what those visits found, so the count on its own does not say whether any concern was upheld.

Who holds the licence for PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL?

The licence is held by PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL, INC.. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Santa Clara County.
