  As first-time parents we looked at many places, but The Point Playhouse stood out to us in so many ways. When we first toured, I was met with so many answers to all my questions. The infant room is well organized and super clean. My toddler who originally started in the infant room has learned so much through their enriched curriculum. I love that they are inclusive in all forms. We loved the support we have received from Ms. Esme and her team in the infant room. My child has met so many of his milestones here at TPP. Whenever I had a concern or needed to bring something to attention, I was met with so much support from the TPP staff. When my child was ready to transition to the toddler room, we were also met with Miss C and her team. Although Miss C is no longer there, we love the current team just as much. I cannot express how thankful I am of Miss Viri and Miss LauRiece. They keep the children engaged with circle time activities and have helped my child appropriately express themselves with activities surrounding emotions. If you are looking for trusting teachers for your child, I would recommend The Point Playhouse!

  I gotta say, touring The Point Playhouse was something special. From the moment we walked in, Riece Mills, the owner, made us feel like part of the family. Her energy and commitment to creating a warm, inclusive space for the kiddos was clear as day. The place is stunning…bright, colorful, and just perfect for little ones to explore and learn. Plus, being right in the heart of town makes it super convenient for us busy parents. Sadly, we had to make a last-minute move, so we couldn't enroll our baby there. But honestly, I know it would've been an amazing fit for our family. If you're in the market for a daycare where your child will be cherished and inspired every day, The Point Playhouse is where it's at!! 🙌🏾

  I can't say enough good things about The Point Playhouse! The staff is not only professional but also genuinely caring and attentive to each child's needs. As a parent of color, I was looking for a daycare that would provide a nurturing environment while also celebrating diversity. The Point Playhouse has exceeded my expectations. My baby comes home happy and excited every day, and I love seeing the different cultural activities they participate in.   Our daughter has been with the Point Playhouse since she was 4 months old. She just turned 4 this past February. It was such an emotional moment when I saw her 1st Birthday Video with her 2nd, 3rd, AND 4th Birthday video. We have always received exceptions care from Mrs. Riecy (Program Director) and Ms. Esmeralda (now infant teacher, but has been there since the very beginning of our daycare journey). Our daughter has grown tremendously in the years she has been there. When it came to working on our daughters potty training, we took guidance from the teachers and implemented them at home. The structure that was provided at school we tried to mimic at home and vice versa. In the 4 years we have been with the Point Playhouse, we have gained a forever village. I am forever grateful for the love and support through tremendous life changes and grief. If you were to ask my daughter how she feels about school, she would tell you that she loves school and her teachers. She loves practicing reading to the younger kids, being their "big sister" and being the welcome committee to new students. My family highly recommends the Point Playhouse to new parents and anyone looking for not only exceptional care, but an extended part of your family. We have been so fortunate to have met the entire Mills Family. Thank you to all of the newer Teachers (Ms. C, Ms. B, Ms. Alo, Ms. Brenda, and Ms, Jessica) who have been with the Point Playhouse within the year since the center opened at the El Cerrito Location. You all have been a great in molding the lives of little ones. You are truly appreciated.

  We have been at The Point Playhouse since June 2024. We started in the infant classroom and we are currently in the toddler room. Our teachers have all been amazing, attentive, fun, and caring. My daughter loves going to daycare and lights up when she sees her friends and teachers. This was my first experience starting childcare with an infant and I was anxious. LauRiece and her staff were very patient and flexible with our family as we transitioned into starting care. Their compassion really made a difference in our childcare experience. Esmeralda in the infant room has such a magical touch with the babies and you can really tell that all the staff love caring for the children. We are very happy here and the director is very intentional with the play space and curriculum. Diversity isn’t just a word thrown around- the families, staff and the curriculum all support diversity and inclusion through books, celebrating different cultures, and embracing different languages. We love the Point Playhouse and our next baby will be joining soon!
