What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

If you're looking for a preschool where children spend their days outdoors, learning through curiosity, creativity, and genuine engagement rather than simply being supervised, Seasons is something truly special. Simone has created something remarkable. With over 20 years in early childhood education, a Master's in Early Childhood Education, and a background in psychology, she brings an incredible depth of knowledge to the school. But what impressed us just as much is how much she genuinely cares. She is constantly going above and beyond to create a magical experience not only for the children, but for the families as well. From community-building events and moms' and dads' nights out to thoughtfully curated classroom experiences, you can feel how intentional everything is. The curriculum is one of the school's greatest strengths. Rather than following a static program, each unit is child-led and immersive. During our time there, our daughter explored topics like architecture, airplanes, insects, and famous artists. She came home excited to tell us about Frida Kahlo, Yayoi Kusama, and Van Gogh, and her artistic abilities and confidence have flourished in ways we never expected at her age. Every theme feels carefully designed with hands-on experiences that make children genuinely excited to learn. Oftentimes parents are invited to shows ending the larger projects. The teaching staff deserves equal recognition. Simone has surrounded herself with educators who have dedicated themselves to early childhood education. They aren't simply hourly childcare workers--they are professionals who understand child development and clearly love what they do. We've been so grateful for the consistency, warmth, and enthusiasm of Astrid, Stephanie, and Jocelyn over the years. Seeing the same familiar, smiling faces each day gave our daughter wonderful continuity and helped create such a secure environment. One of the things we appreciated most was that the children are outside almost every day, regardless of the weather. It teaches resilience, fosters a love of nature, keeps them active, and encourages imaginative play in a way that's difficult to replicate inside four walls. We've never referred to Seasons as a daycare because that's simply not what it is. It is a preschool in the truest sense of the word; a place that nurtures curiosity, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. We feel incredibly fortunate that our family found Seasons. Our daughter has thrived there, and there isn't a stronger endorsement we could give than the fact that our younger daughter will be attending as soon as she's old enough.
David LevinJul 30, 2026Finding this preschool has been such a gift for our family. There is something truly "magical" about the environment Simone has created; from the moment we toured, we were taken back by how serene and focused the school is. Even with a group of active toddlers, there is no screaming or fighting—just a beautiful flow of kids calm, collaborative, and deeply engaged in their play. Simone has assembled a team of exceptional teachers who don't just "watch" the children; they truly care for them and guide them to be their best selves. It is a safe haven where kids learn to care for one another and come into their own with the most wonderful guidance. The space itself is an outdoor dream. Between the mud kitchens, sand pits, yoga area, garden, and the excavation site where they dig for treasures, these kids are living their absolute best days. As a parent, the greatest peace of mind comes at drop-off: there are no tears or clinging, just happy kids running in to start their adventure. It is truly a magical experience for both the children and the parents, and we feel so lucky to be part of this community!
Ashlee GillespieApr 10, 2026Seasons of Wonder is a special place. Reach out to schedule a tour to see it for yourself. The outdoor classroom is amazing, with everything from a garden to art easels, sand pit, a water table, and more! The dedicated nap room inside is wonderful for sensitive sleepers, and the teachers are amazing, especially with getting kids to nap. It’s so special to have ages 2-5/6 all together in one group as well. If you are looking for a play-based preschool with tons of outdoor time that fosters imagination and understands young children, look no further.
Nina JehleMar 26, 2026I am so happy that both of my boys have experienced preschool at Seasons of Wonder! Simone and her team are the most caring and compassionate group of teachers and I couldn't ask for a better environment for my children. They inspire kids to be curious thinkers, explore, play, and learn in the outdoors. I couldn't recommend this school enough!
Courtney CayfordMar 25, 2026This preschool has been such a wonderful place for my child. The teachers are so kind, patient, and truly care about all the children. I always felt my child was safe, happy, and learning so much every day. Even now that they’ve moved on to kindergarten, they still talk about their teachers and ask to go back for summer camp. I am forever grateful for the love and attention they experienced here.
Hanna LJul 25, 2025Seasons of Wonder is an exceptional preschool in Napa. It is safe to say that there is nothing quite like it! The care and thought put in by the head teacher Simone is apparent in every day of school. They are Reggio-based and my children have learned so much. She has a wonderful team of teachers who our children love! Highly recommend!

Questions parents ask about SEASONS OF WONDER
Is SEASONS OF WONDER a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. SEASONS OF WONDER holds California licence 283009966, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on August 14, 2020. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does SEASONS OF WONDER hold?
- California licenses SEASONS OF WONDER as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can SEASONS OF WONDER care for?
- SEASONS OF WONDER is licensed for up to 30 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
How often has California inspected SEASONS OF WONDER?
- California records 3 inspection visits to SEASONS OF WONDER, the most recent on July 17, 2024 and the earliest on record July 21, 2021. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.
Has California visited SEASONS OF WONDER in response to a complaint?
- California records no complaint-driven visits to SEASONS OF WONDER. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.
Who holds the licence for SEASONS OF WONDER?
- The licence is held by SEASONS OF WONDER LLC. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Napa County.
