Sunshine daycare is a gem! We sent our youngest there from when he was 4 months old to just a couple weeks ago when we moved him to a preschool closer to home. Sara and Marina are incredibly kind and caring - they love the kids so much and taught our baby so much. He plays so well with other kids which I really attribute to their teaching the kids how to play with each other and navigate conflict even at such a young age. He is so independent and his fine motor is incredible - I really think because they keep him engaged with toys and activities at the daycare. Not to mention they feed the kids incredibly healthy, delicious home made meals. Our toddler was eating so well there and the no stress of packing meals/snacks for your kid is seriously priceless. They are so understanding, and flexible. Truly the most drama free childcare providers I have ever worked with (I have two older kids and have worked with a lot of nannies and daycares/preschools over the years). I love them so much and actually kind of wish I hadn't signed up for this school closer to home because Finn was so happy there and thriving. I couldn't have asked for a better place for him to be! It's so hard leaving your little one to go back to work. It helps when you know you are leaving them with someone else who is going to love them and teach them just as much, like Sara and Marina at Sunshine.
Angelica ZenApr 8, 2026My son has been going to this preschool since the day he turned 2 (he is 3 now) and he is really thriving there. The staff is the greatest part of this preschool. I don't know how, but Sunshine manages to find and hold on to the most caring, supportive, friendly and kind teachers. I had looked into 12 different preschools in the neighborhood and visited 6 of them, and Sunshine was far and away the best option. Sunshine preschool is a part of the nonprofit CEID, the Center for Early Intervention on Deafness. The preschool is half hearing challenged kids and half hearing typical kids. As a result of having a wide mix of children, the staff is very versed on being flexible and supportive of the kids, no matter what their challenges are.
