  We've attended Tesoro for more than two years now, and I’m honestly embarrassed it has taken me this long to write a review because this preschool has meant so much to our family. From the very beginning, Tesoro felt different. The teachers are incredibly warm, patient and genuinely invested in each child. Our son has grown so much during his time there, not just academically, but socially and emotionally too. He walks in excited every morning and talks about his teachers and friends nonstop at home, which says everything. As a parent, there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your child is loved, safe and truly seen while you’re away. Tesoro has given us that peace of mind every single day. The school creates such a joyful, nurturing environment with thoughtful activities, caring communication and a real sense of community. You can feel how much the staff cares about the children and families. We are so grateful for the role Tesoro has played in our son’s early years and will always look back on this season with so much appreciation. Highly, highly recommend. We will miss all of the teachers (but especially Ms. Chesna, Ismerai, Maria and so many more!)

  Our family is so grateful for Tesoro! The teachers and staff create a joyful environment for little ones to reach toddler milestones and it shows. My son will ask to go to school on the weekends. He loves it. I highly recommend Tesoro to families looking for a nurturing, fun, educational preschool!

  We feel so lucky to have found Tesoro! My son started in the summer of 2025 and quickly fell in love with the talented, warm, and loving teachers. He is always busy with creative crafts and art projects, and his favorite days of the week are when he gets to do yoga and science activities. His teacher (Ms. Chesna) is exceptional and we are so grateful he is in her class. She strikes the perfect balance between being authoritative and deeply caring and compassionate - you can immediately tell how much the children love and respect her. She is exactly the kind of teacher every working parent hopes for: someone you trust completely, knowing your child is learning, growing, receiving a strong educational foundation, and developing good manners - all while enjoying their day. I also want to note that every teacher I’ve interacted with has been friendly, engaging, and wonderful. My son speaks very positively about all of them, which says so much about the culture and team at this school. The teachers go out of their way to make every holiday, including birthdays, extra special with treats and celebrations. I also especially love that Tesoro offers a monthly weekend Parents Night Out option (for an extra cost, but WELL worth it), which gives parents a 4-hour date night. The thought and care that go into the curriculum are remarkable. The teachers are always open to meeting with parents to discuss any challenges a child may be having and are thoughtful in offering suggestions and brainstorming solutions together. The Spanish immersion component is such a bonus - my son has picked up Spanish words and songs so quickly! The holiday performance was one of the most beautiful experiences our family has had at Tesoro. The kids sang in both Spanish and English, dressed up, and danced - it was really well done and you could tell how much time and effort the teachers put into making it special. My son still sings the songs almost 2 months later :) Tesoro has built a wonderful community, and I truly feel like I won the lottery finding this school for my son to thrive, grow, and flourish. The best way I can describe Tesoro is MAGICAL. 10/10—highly recommend this preschool to any family with young children!

  You'd be hard pressed to find a better preschool in the vicinity. The founder Andrea Valdez founded the school about two years ago and it's clear she's doing this for all the right reasons. She sets a high bar that flows down through the rest of the staff. Our son has been attending Tesoro for an academic year and it's clear everyone is passionate and mission-driven...they truly care about all the kids so much! We truly appreciate our son's teacher Miss Andrea. She has a great mix of being fun but also setting thoughtful boundaries. She sends photo/video/text updates daily, they are extremely communicative. Impressive when they have 10+ kids on their hands! They always remember details we share, and always update us in person (at pickup) if there were notable events during the day. All the kids in his class enjoy each other and the socialization/structure has been hugely beneficial. Special thanks to Miss Heidy who works alongside Andrea Valdez running the school, she really cares about the kids immensely. They regularly put on events for parents to mingle and build community, or celebrations for the kids on major (or minor)holidays...things that take energy to organize, so they really go the extra mile! We feel extremely lucky to have such a great preschool nearby. I could only imagine the challenges of running a preschool, and have so much respect for this team that does it so well.   Our youngest has been with Tesoro for nearly two years and we couldn’t love it more! He is excited to go to school each day and we love not only hearing about all of the fun and fascinating things he’s learning but also seeing the good friend and classmate he’s become. As a military family with three kids we’ve experienced several preschools and Tesoro is truly top notch. The whole staff is warm, loving, and supportive. A special thanks goes to our child’s primary teacher, Ms. Andrea, who always goes above and beyond for her students. She is an absolute gift to our child, our family, and the whole school community!

  We have been so happy with Tesoro preschool! Our daughter started when she was 2 and she is now 3.5. She's had the warmest, most fun, and loving teachers who teach her extremely important skills and use great intention and care with their lessons. The school itself is beautiful and gives the kids many different places to play and explore between their classroom, a covered outdoor area, a large playground, and a garden. I know my daughter is always having a stimulating and exciting day when she goes to school. Special shout-out to Ms. Andrea who teaches the Joya class. We are always so amazed with her creativity in planning fun science experiments and art projects and her thoughtful insights into our child's learning and development. We've also loved Ms. Linh, Ms. Amy, Ms. Ismerai, and Ms. Chesna. The administrative team is also amazing, including Ms. Heidi and the founding executive director Ms. Andrea . You can tell how much they care about the mission and making each family's time at Tesoro a wonderful experience. And they are all warm and friendly and have great energy. We feel so lucky to have found this treasure of a school.
