  We love TLC preschool!! My son just finished his 4th year at TLC. We loved every bit of our experience, and he absolutely thrived there. Melanie always made us feel welcome and handled every situation with kindness and love. All the staff made us feel welcome and after getting to know everyone there it feels like home. I’m so happy I get to do it all over again with my 2 year old daughter. My son loved all of his teachers and so did we. He learned kindness, sharing, respect and how to be a good human being. I am so grateful we found TLC!

  TLC Preschool has been such a blessing to our family. My son just graduated, and he cried on his last day because he loved his teacher and the school so much—and I felt the same way. Every teacher is kind, welcoming, and truly cares for each child. Melanie, the director, leads with so much heart, and Amber in the office is always so kind and helpful. We also have a 2-year-old currently attending, and I couldn’t feel more at peace. I’ve said it many times—I wish this school went through 8th grade. We’d never leave!

  We’ve had both our 2- and 4-year-old at TLC for the past year, and I can honestly say it has been such a gift to our family. The teachers are incredibly enthusiastic, kind, creative, and full of joy. Every day, our kids come home with stories, songs, and smiles—and it’s clear they feel safe, loved, and inspired at school. The director, Mel, is truly exceptional. She goes above and beyond to get to know each child and family, and she has created the most welcoming, magical learning environment. Her care and intention are felt in every detail, from the thoughtful curriculum to the warm, inclusive community she’s built. As a public school teacher for the past 9 years, I’ve seen many learning environments—and I couldn’t recommend TLC more highly. It’s a place where kids are celebrated, nurtured, and truly allowed to thrive. We feel so lucky to be part of the TLC family!

  My son just graduated from TLC after 3 years and we couldn’t be happier. This preschool is so sweet and has such an intimate, familial vibe. They teach their kids how to be loving, kind, and just exceptional humans as they grow through the challenging stages of toddler to big kid. We had the option of moving to TK at a public elementary school for free, and instead chose to stay one more year, and it was well worth the cost. We do all of their camps and after care programs and even though other preschools offer all-day care which would simplify our work schedules, we decided to work our schedules around theirs, simply because we believe they are by far the best in Ventura. Melanie, the director, is fantastic and communicates kindly and effectively. I have always appreciated her boundaries and assertiveness knowing that her interest is always what’s best for the children. She stands out in front every single morning and greets every child and parent by name, welcoming them, and being available for any questions or needs we may have. I have always felt supported by her and continue to feel so. Our 2 year old is enrolled to start in the Fall and when his journey comes to an end in a few years, we will definitely be sad to leave this special place behind!

  We couldn’t be happier to find TLC preschool. My son has attended for the past 3 years and my daughter will be starting in the fall. The teachers are so lovely and kind, I cannot believe how much my son has learned and grown over the years. Mel and Amber are the best directors and show so much care and consideration for the school. I’d recommend this school to anyone- and do so often!
