What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • We absolutely love this preschool and feel so grateful that both of our sons were able to be part of such a warm, nurturing, and positive environment/family! One of our sons was a true “COVID baby” and had an especially difficult time with the transition into school. I am forever grateful to everyone here who were absolutely amazing in helping him through that transition with so much patience, compassion, reassurance, and support. We will never forget how much they helped him — and us — through that challenging stage. Both of our boys have grown so much here — not only academically, but emotionally and socially as well. They come home happy, excited to share about their day, and genuinely love going to school each morning. The classroom activities are engaging, creative, and fun, and the school does an amazing job balancing learning with play and emotional development. Absolutely lucky to have been a part of this school and highly recommend them to everyone!

  • I am helping to raise my 3 grandsons. As a women who grew up in the sixties and seventies I love to give the boys freedom to explore, get messy, go barefoot, run and generally have fun. So when my son and my daughter in law found UCUC for my then 3 year old grandson I was wondering how it would be for him. To my surprise when I picked him up after his first day he looked like he had spent the day with me! Barefoot, messy and grinning from ear to ear! He is now in TK and thriving! The youngest brother is now at UCUC and loves it! I cannot say enough good things about this amazing preschool! Teachers and staff are loving and welcoming. The children learn hands on, and are free to be themselves! I would give it 100 stars if I could!

  • We loved every minute of our daughter's two years at UCUC Preschool. The teachers are warm, caring, fun, and accepting and supportive of each child's individual strengths and areas for growth and learning. We enjoyed getting pictures and updates throughout the day and even if our daughter had a rocky drop off, we knew her teachers would be there with extra comfort and support. We LOVED that the program embraced and celebrated cultural diversity - the students were always learning about new holidays, traditions, and trying new foods. And we really appreciated that the program encouraged parent, grandparent, and family involvement. It is truly a special place and we were sad to say goodbye when our daughter moved on to TK. But we can say for certain that her transition to TK was so smooth because of the social skills she learned at UCUC. We could go on and on with our praise and highly encourage anyone who is interested to schedule a meet and greet or attend one of the monthly playdates. UCUC Preschool and its staff will always have a special place in our hearts 💕

  • We can’t say enough good things about this preschool! All of the teachers are so kind, loving, supportive, and talented at what they do. My son loved coming to school every day. There were always fun, engaging activities and such a warm sense of community. I always felt like the teachers and staff truly knew and understood my son, and that we were all on the same team in supporting him. The indoor and outdoor spaces are beautifully curated and well maintained, creating such a welcoming environment for children to learn and grow. We are grateful for the time we had here.

  • This is a phenomenal preschool with caring, creative, energetic teachers. Before my son turned 2, I visited several places and this one just had the right "vibes" - open, airy, sun filled classroom along with a beautiful outdoor space where the kids spend much of the day. It has surpassed my expectations. The level of planning that goes into the activities and experiences is unparalleled. My son did a summer camp at a very popular nearby preschool and for 4 straight weeks talked about wanting to go back to his "normal school." After 2 years at UCUC my son is headed to TK next year but thankfully my 18 month old will be enrolling soon!

  • We cannot say enough wonderful things about UCUC Preschool! Our oldest child had such a vibrant and nurturing experience there, growing both socially and academically in a way that truly prepared her for the next chapter. The teachers and staff create such a warm, welcoming environment that feels like an extension of the family. We’ve had such a positive experience that we are planning on sending our youngest there as well. Highly recommend UCUC Preschool for anyone looking for a Preschool in the UC area!
