What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • My son will complete two year here next year. This has been such an amazing introduction to school. My son has significant food allergies and VPP has been so special working with us. My son started school on the younger side and was very attached. The co-op part allows parents to be with their children while starting this journey and it was REALLY NICE to not have to hand off my child to someone at the door. I knew that wouldn’t have gone over with my son so I appreciate how patient VPP was with his adjustment period. The time commitment can be a lot but the sense of community is worth it. My son loves his friends in class and I know when the other parents are working that he is well cared for.

  • VPP is such a special school! It has a warm and pleasant environment and the teachers are so caring and nurturing. The backyard is great and there is an emphasis on creativity, exploration, and the joys of childhood and play. It is a great community with several events throughout the year. The co-oping aspect has been ideal for our family and it's been a privilege to see how my kids are at school and how they interact with others. It's nice to meet the other parents and kids while volunteering, and an enriching experience to watch/learn how the teachers interact with the kids.

  • We love valley parent preschool. The co-op program was perfect for our son the grow and thrive. The teachers are patient and caring and focus on social and emotional growth while helping kids learn through play. We couldn’t have picked a better preschool for our son. Highly recommend this school to everyone!

  • We absolutely love Parent Valley Preschool! Our son, has truly thrived in this warm, nurturing environment. From the very beginning, he felt welcomed and cared for by all the amazing teachers and the loving community. Every day, he looks forward to going to school, where he gets to explore his creativity, play, and learn through activities that spark his curiosity and interests. We’re so grateful for a place that makes learning so joyful for him!

  • Words cannot express how amazing VPP is. From the minute we stepped foot inside the school we knew it was special. VPP is run by a team of incredible teachers who day in and day out put nothing but love, kindness, and fun into every interaction with every student. It's a special place where you not only get to hear about this all from your child, but you also get to experience it firsthand during your volunteer hours. It is amazing to be able to watch all the kids thrive day in and day out and to learn through play. We would recommend this school to everyone looking for preschool for their child.

  • We have loved our time at Valley Parent both through their PreK program and Outdoor Explorers. VPP has given our daughter an opportunity to grow in so many ways. She LOVES going to school. The teachers have been extremely accommodating in adapting to our daughter's specific medical needs which is a huge weight off our backs. We love that VPP empowers the children to learn in their own way and to problem solve. We have really enjoyed the co-op experience as it allows for us as parents to get to know other classmates as well as our daughter to grow more familiar with her friend's parents. It's truly a welcoming environment for all!

Is VALLEY PARENT PRE SCHOOL a licensed child care provider in California?

Yes. VALLEY PARENT PRE SCHOOL holds California licence 073400683, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on August 14, 1996. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.

What kind of child care licence does VALLEY PARENT PRE SCHOOL hold?

California licenses VALLEY PARENT PRE SCHOOL as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.

How many children can VALLEY PARENT PRE SCHOOL care for?

VALLEY PARENT PRE SCHOOL is licensed for up to 36 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.

How often has California inspected VALLEY PARENT PRE SCHOOL?

California records 3 inspection visits to VALLEY PARENT PRE SCHOOL, the most recent on May 1, 2024 and the earliest on record September 1, 2022. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.

Has California visited VALLEY PARENT PRE SCHOOL in response to a complaint?

California records no complaint-driven visits to VALLEY PARENT PRE SCHOOL. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.

Who holds the licence for VALLEY PARENT PRE SCHOOL?

The licence is held by VALLEY PARENT NURSERY SCHOOL INC.. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Contra Costa County.
