What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

School couldn’t have been better for my kids! Patient, carrying and fun teachers and thought my kids enjoyed going to school! I have definitely recommended it and still will
Brandon MartinJul 15, 2026Our family is incredibly disappointed by our experience with Valley Vista Preschool, and after everything that happened, we cannot recommend this school. The final straw came when our four-year-old was expelled on his birthday—the same day we had brought cupcakes to celebrate with his classmates. Regardless of the circumstances, there is simply no compassionate or professional way to justify delivering that news to a young child on such a meaningful day. It was heartbreaking and something no family should have to experience. What makes this even more frustrating is that the school insisted we complete a comprehensive evaluation through UpLift Therapy. We spent $750 on an assessment scheduled at the school’s request because we believed we were working collaboratively to support our child. Before that evaluation could even take place, Valley Vista expelled him. Looking back, it feels as though the evaluation was never truly about helping him, but rather about justifying a decision that had already been made. Our child is a loving, bright, energetic little boy. Like many preschoolers, he had moments of conflict. We have never excused biting or aggressive behavior, but context matters. Preschool-aged children are still learning emotional regulation, impulse control, and conflict resolution. That is precisely why parents enroll them in preschool. The school told us teachers witnessed the entire interaction leading up to the incident and were in the process of intervening. If staff observed the conflict escalating before it happened, why wasn’t it prevented? Supervising children and intervening before situations escalate is one of the primary responsibilities of preschool staff. Despite repeatedly asking for objective documentation regarding these incidents, we were never provided with anything beyond verbal descriptions. We also never observed this level of behavior in other environments, making it difficult to understand why our child was consistently portrayed as the problem. Unfortunately, we also found certain staff members to be cold, dismissive, and lacking the warmth, patience, and encouragement that young children deserve. Children know when they are not welcomed. What became increasingly clear is that Valley Vista appears to have very little tolerance for children who require patience, guidance, or individualized support. It felt as though the expectation was for children to behave like robots—quiet, compliant, and never impulsive—instead of recognizing that preschoolers are still developing emotionally and socially. The purpose of early childhood education is not simply to teach children who are already “easy”; it is to help all children learn, grow, and navigate challenges in a supportive environment. From our experience, our child was treated differently from the beginning. Whether intentional or not, he appeared to be labeled rather than supported, leaving us questioning whether he was unfairly profiled. We understand that every school has a responsibility to keep children safe, and we respect that. However, safety and compassion are not mutually exclusive. The way this situation was handled lacked empathy, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping a child through a developmentally appropriate challenge. Families deserve to know that if their child experiences behavioral challenges, Valley Vista’s response may be exclusion rather than partnership. No four-year-old should leave preschool believing they are the problem—especially on their birthday.
ZOE RNJul 14, 2026We are so fortunate to have gotten a spot at Valley Vista! Our daughter has been thriving, and we have already seen such big changes in her from the start of the school year to now. The teachers are warm, patient, and truly invested in the kids. Having worked in several early childhood programs myself, it is easy to see the quality and care that sets this school apart. Just the other day I was talking with an elementary teacher who said she can always identify the students who come from Valley Vista, as they enter elementary school well-rounded and prepared. We are so grateful for this program and could not recommend it more highly!
Sian MorganDec 19, 2025Valley Vista has been perfect for our 4 year old, she absolutely loves attending and seeing her “best friends!” every day. Ms Guinnett and Ms Erika have been great at balancing learning, fun and gently providing some much needed discipline for our energetic little girl. Been super happy with her social and academic growth thanks to their help. The school offers plenty of extra curricular activities and they take the kids on fun little nearby field trips too, love seeing the photos they send while I’m stuck at work. Thanks to Ms Tyler and the whole staff!
Alex MarkarianDec 18, 2025Greatest preschool by far! Both my children attended and we could not have been happier with our experiences. Valley vista is an amazing place for all who attend. Highly recommend this establishment and all the staff members!
Graziella CareddaMar 6, 2024We're so happy to have found Valley Vista Preschool! What a treasure of a school with a focus on social-emotional skill building, introductions to phonics and numeracy and so much time learning through PLAY! I love how much time the kids spend outdoors, the engagement of families through Spirit Day and activities throughout the year, and the holistic approach to overall child wellbeing. We highly recommend VVPS!

Questions parents ask about VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL
Is VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL holds California licence 198019983, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on March 14, 2019. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL hold?
- California licenses VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL care for?
- VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL is licensed for up to 85 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
How often has California inspected VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL?
- California records 2 inspection visits to VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL, the most recent on March 30, 2026 and the earliest on record February 25, 2025. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.
Has California visited VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL in response to a complaint?
- California records 1 complaint-driven visit to VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL. A complaint visit means someone raised a concern and the state went to look. California does not publish what those visits found, so the count on its own does not say whether any concern was upheld.
Who holds the licence for VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL?
- The licence is held by VALLEY VISTA PRESCHOOL, INC.. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Los Angeles County.
