What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • We were at WCC for 2.5 years and absolutely loved it. We just left in August when our oldest started elementary school. The director Ms Kay is fantastic. We loved our time with all the caring and thoughtful teachers there. This is a great full time option for working families.

  • We have been at WCC since August and it has been a fantastic experience. The teachers and administrators are caring, knowledgeable, communicative, and truly seem to understand children's needs. They basically potty trained our 2 year old for us! We are really happy with our experience there.

  • 11/12/2024 - Unfortunately, I have to update my prior review due to challenges we have encountered at WCC since late September 2024, concerning the poor management of ongoing construction by Eagle Rock Presbyterian Church, and poor communication with WCC families on the part of EPI. We have temporarily moved our child while we hope for a resolution to these issues. We remain enthusiastic about the WCC teachers and Ms. Kay who continue to go above & beyond to make the WCC an inviting place for students and their families. -- We have been a WCC family since August 2023 and have had a wonderful experience. The director Ms. Kay is extremely professional and enthusiastic about her job. We appreciate her prompt communication with families and the creativity she brings to the center. She is always planning fun events, including seasonal activities like Trunk-or-Treat or a musical program for the winter holidays. The teachers we have had thus far (Ms. Vanessa and Ms. Taleen) are also wonderful and bring a lot of passion to their classrooms. In his first year, our child was in Ms. Vanessa's class for a part-time schedule. Ms. Vanessa made our transition to daycare as smooth as possible, especially considering that our child was a monolingual Spanish speaker at the start of the year. With her support and patience, he learned English and was also potty trained by Ms. Vanessa. Ms. Vanessa also planned hands-on and engaging lessons for the 2 year olds. The students learned core academic concepts, including the alphabet, numbers, shapes and colors, while engaging in age-appropriate play and socioemotional learning. Ms. Vanessa held parent conferences to discuss each child's development and answer parent questions. At the end of the year, each child brought home a portfolio showcasing their work from the year. This year, our child transition to a full-day schedule as a 3 year old and we were pleased to see he already had a great relationship with Ms. Taleen, based on their interactions during morning outdoor play. Beyond the people, we appreciate that WCC and its parent company EPI seem forthright about meeting the needs of working parents. Their rates are some of the most affordable in town and there is transparency about any extra fees. We appreciated that they did not tack on additional monthly fees for things like snacks or potty training. We also appreciate their extended hours that are realistic for the needs of working parents, and are included without additional cost. They also utilize an app to make it easy to communicate and receive updates about your child. We have recommended other families to WCC and hope to enroll our younger son here once he is old enough.

Questions parents ask about WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER

Is WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER a licensed child care provider in California?

Yes. WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER holds California licence 191802184, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on June 26, 1993. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.

What kind of child care licence does WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER hold?

California licenses WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.

How many children can WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER care for?

WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER is licensed for up to 75 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.

How often has California inspected WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER?

California records 3 inspection visits to WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER, the most recent on July 1, 2026 and the earliest on record December 28, 2023. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.

Has California visited WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER in response to a complaint?

California records 6 complaint-driven visits to WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER. A complaint visit means someone raised a concern and the state went to look. California does not publish what those visits found, so the count on its own does not say whether any concern was upheld.

Who holds the licence for WESTMINSTER CHILD CENTER?

The licence is held by INTERWOVEN CHURCH. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Los Angeles County.
