California records 0 routine inspection visits and no visits prompted by a complaint to WOODCREST PRESCHOOL.
What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This is one of the worst places to leave your child. I had my 2 yr old daughter there for only 7 months and within that span of time she was bit 5 times! She had gotten bit once every single month for the first 5 months she was there. The last bite was on her lower back (which means she was defenseless) and was so big it took 1 week for it to go away (please see picture). Please note, my issue was not the fact that she was bit by another child. My issue was the fact that had I not sent the office a detailed email with pictures, nothing would've gotten done by them. Even though they sent me pictures of every instance she had been bit through their app, the director Celine and Lori had no idea this was happening. How can the teachers see this happening and not speak to their supervisor? How can the supervisors not see the number of "ouch reports"? WHO IS SUPERVISING? What is the point of sending me these pictures if you're not keeping records for yourself? Additionally, while each child has a box with a picture of their face on it, they can't be bothered to use the correct diapers and wipes on the kids. My daughter would constantly come home with other children's diapers. I explained to the teachers multiple times that she had sensitive skin and they needed to use the diapers and wipes I sent her. I never had an issue bringing extra supplies for her and yet she came home with a constant rash, red, and sensitive to touching and would cry in the tub at bath time because it hurt so bad. I told Lori/Celine this and they said they would talk to the teachers, still my daughter came home like this. Also, she would come home with other kid's clothes and socks instead of her own. Most recently she came home with a dried patch of blood on her forehead (they NEVER mentioned she had an accident or had a cut!). The nice teachers that were there 7 months ago are no longer there, and I really don't think the ones that are there now care much for the children. I pick my daughter up early a few times and I noticed one teacher specifically has a really nasty tone with the students. It could be that she has a learning disability, but regardless she shouldn't speak like that to the kids because they're so little. Honestly, save yourself the awful experience of not being able to trust in the safety of your child and skip this place!! I should've take her our sooner!
Nilses VeraMar 8, 2019Our daughter has been attending Woodcrest since we tried out the Woodcrest summer camp in 2016. We recommend it! Woodcrest has been nothing but awesome for our child and our family. On our tour, we noticed something very important. The kids get to be kids, while they are guided in a safe environment to grow at a constant pace. We checked out a bunch of pre-schools and Montessori schools (we both attended Montessori ourselves) and Woodcrest just had a great balance. We would probably consider our family a little academic driven with the idea of the child being an all-round child. Our daughter has been thriving here and has made great friends. She is constantly learning. Being the only child, it was also very important for her to improve on her social skills and Woodcrest has brought the best in her. We appreciate the staff for the constant dedication to the kids, as well as Miss Cilene and Miss Laurie who steadily sail the ship in the right direction and keep it all glued together. We have nothing but praises for Woodcrest!
C&S JeyJan 16, 2018Our twins 3yrs old attend the preschool. It's the first preschool that they have been enrolled in and it was a transition for them, especially our daughter. The teachers Ms Czarina and Ms Iris were especially understanding and nurturing in helping with this transition, helping us parents to continue the education process at home for consistency and effectiveness. Happy to say our daughter now loves school and along with our son, both have so much fun learning and exploring new activities daily, making friends, practicing independence and having pride in their new knowledge and skills developed. Great curriculum and mix of subjects, good use of KidsReports which gives updates throughout the day with pictures.
Lila JDec 29, 2017My experience in enrolling my child to this school has been a terrible experience .My child always came home crying, I was very worried so one day I picked my child up and noticed for myself, that my child didn't have attention to her needs from her teachers and where very cold to her, I also noticed that the teachers tried on a smile to hide their anxiety because of the amount of children in the classroom my child was in. I was overwhelmed by The amount of children, I should've noticed it before, it isn't well to have your child in a classroom of at least 24 children with only 2 teachers to care for your child needs, attention and education is impossible, i learned my lesson and mistake in allowing this to my child in this school. In this school there's at least 24 children in each classroom with only 2 sometimes 3 teachers to care for them, there's 5 rooms. Do yourself an important decision for your child's education and confidence, please, please, please do not enroll your child to this school! Don't make the mistake I did for my child. My child is now in another preschool and is learning and very happy. Please Infrom yourself in the good preschools and most of all see your child how she interacts and experience her environment is in person not in writing or outside pretty pictures of the environment. In person!! Matters
Jazmin OlivariJan 8, 2017I highly recommend Woodcrest preschool. Although my kids have moved on since, they did a great job of preparing them for kinder. I always found them to be organized and pleasant to deal with, and certainly felt comfortable leaving my kids with them. Preschools are not necessarily perfect, few options if any are. But if you are considering preschools, I highly recommend Woodcrest.
Law Office of Philip D. HacheJun 4, 2014My daughter loves the school and so do I. Great staff, excellent programs and affordable.... Kids learning so much and everything is explained and noted for parents. Have nothing bad to say.

Questions parents ask about WOODCREST PRESCHOOL
Is WOODCREST PRESCHOOL a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. WOODCREST PRESCHOOL holds California licence 191231426, currently listed as "CLOSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on April 2, 1993. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does WOODCREST PRESCHOOL hold?
- California licenses WOODCREST PRESCHOOL as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can WOODCREST PRESCHOOL care for?
- WOODCREST PRESCHOOL is licensed for up to 141 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
Has California visited WOODCREST PRESCHOOL in response to a complaint?
- California records no complaint-driven visits to WOODCREST PRESCHOOL. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.
Who holds the licence for WOODCREST PRESCHOOL?
- The licence is held by WOODCREST PRESCHOOL. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Los Angeles County.
