What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • When we were looking for preschools, we had plenty of options closer to home. In fact, we drive about 15 minutes each way to get to Woodcrest. From the moment we first walked through the doors, though, we felt something special—the genuine love, care, and attention they give to every child. Not a day has gone by where that feeling has changed. Every teacher, administrator, and staff member we've interacted with has been exceptional. The culture they have built is something you can feel immediately. As our son prepares to move on to public school, I find myself getting emotional thinking about how much he has grown during his time here. Woodcrest played a meaningful role in that transformation, and for that, our family will always be grateful. Choosing Woodcrest was one of the best decisions we made for our son.

  • As first-time preschool parents, we toured many schools, and Woodcrest left one of the strongest impressions on our family. From the moment we walked through the gates, we felt such warmth and care—from the friendly security staff to the thoughtful, patient, and informative admissions team who took the time to answer every one of our questions. The school has a genuine sense of community, and you can tell that the children are surrounded by people who truly love what they do. It felt welcoming, joyful, and nurturing. Ultimately, we chose a different preschool for one reason only: proximity to our home in North Hollywood. The commute became the deciding factor for our family's daily logistics, not the quality of the school. In fact, Woodcrest still remains one of our favorite schools that we toured (and if our circumstances ever change, Woodcrest would be at the top of our list). We've already recommended Woodcrest to several friends because we believe any family would be lucky to have their child there. Thank you for making such a meaningful impression on us and for creating an environment that so clearly reflects kindness, professionalism, and care.

  • Both of my daughters have attended Woodcrest and we love it. You can't find a better preschool, many parents drive out of there way to take their children here. We are going on our 4th year here, and the teachers, staff, and parents are welcoming and every day is energetic and fun for the kids. The teachers here are incredible. They are so loving, they have attended birthday parties, each of my daughters have told me they missed their teachers over the weekend! The teachers truly care and show affection for the students, while also instilling expectations around classroom behaviors that pays dividends when the students get to elementary and they know what is expected of them. The photos every day NEVER gets old. It's so sweet. I LOVE them. I soak up every single photo because I know I won't get this when my little one goes to elementary. The dance class, critter time (they get to touch & see crazy animals almost every week!), and gymnastics are SO GREAT! I absolutely love that they get exposure and experience each week with this! This is so huge and my daughter loves it. I love that Woodcrest is NAEYC accredited (I'm only aware of one of preschool in the area that is) and so I feel great that my daughter is learning & having fun. Lastly, I have really loved getting to know the families and parents at Woodcrest. It is a really great place to meet other people, and I've stayed connected with families we've met here even when my oldest is a different elementary school! Lastly, the summer camp is SO FUN! A theme and party each week! Water play on Fridays and Pizza every Wednesday! My daughters LOVE summer here and so great because they are already comfortable with the school and teachers and it feel different than regular school. I can't say enough great things, truly :) I will be so sad when my littlest has to go to elementary school!

  • my daughter has been going to this school since she was 2 years old. it is one of the best schools i have ever put my kids in. i have visited many schools and spoken to many parents and this the best one and i am so happy. my daughter loves all her teachers and wont leave unless she gives all of them a hug at the end of the day.. the teachers are so caring and so gentle and they love all the kids that they teach equally. i will continue to keep my daughter here..

  • Woodcrest Preschool is truly an amazing place. I have two daughters, and I enrolled both of them at Woodcrest starting at the age of two all the way through kindergarten. I have been extremely impressed with their progress—both of my girls are now almost two years ahead of their expected educational level. The curriculum is excellent. It is not only well-structured and educational, but also fun and engaging for the children. My daughters genuinely enjoy learning, which says a lot about the environment and teaching methods. I also enrolled them in the summer camp program, and they absolutely loved it. Every day, they were excited to go to preschool, which as a parent is incredibly reassuring. I especially want to highlight the staff. They are amazing—kind, supportive, and always willing to help in every situation. Their dedication and care make a big difference, and it’s clear they truly care about the children and families. I highly recommend Woodcrest Preschool to any parent looking for a nurturing, high-quality learning environment for their children.

How often has California inspected WOODCREST PRESCHOOL?
