I am very disappointed with my experience at ABC Learning Center East. I contacted the center to discuss a situation involving another student who had reportedly been taunting my son and my son finally breaking and defending himself. My goal was simply to ask that the situation be looked into and addressed appropriately for all children involved. During the conversation, Kristen Guse became confrontational and raised her voice instead of working collaboratively to resolve the issue. What was especially concerning was that rather than discussing the specific incident, the conversation shifted to negative comments about my son. If there were ongoing behavioral concerns, those were never clearly communicated to me prior to this call. Especially her making it seem like my son will take a weapon to school to harm children. I also noticed on multiple occasions that when my son arrived and greeted staff with a smile and wave, Kristen would ignore him. As a parent, it gave me the impression that there was a negative attitude toward my child, which became even more apparent during our conversation. I fully understand that children make mistakes and that behavioral issues sometimes need to be addressed. However, I expect communication with parents to be respectful, professional, and focused on solutions. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. When I told my son he would not be attending anymore he felt relieved so I know this was a blessing in disguise. Ms Michelle and Ms Anani were amazing. Thank you guys.
Andrea VargasJun 10, 2026Samantha has been absolutely amazing with my child. She consistently goes above and beyond to make sure they’re ALL well taken care of, and her leadership really shows in how smoothly everything runs at ABC East. Her communication is always clear, timely, and professional, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. I truly appreciate her dedication and the positive impact she has every day. Highly recommend!

Huge thank you to the staff for everything they do!

Questions parents ask about ABC East Child Development Center
How many infants and toddlers can ABC East Child Development Center take?
- Colorado licenses ABC East Child Development Center for 22 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.
Who can help me find child care near ABC East Child Development Center?
- ABC East Child Development Center sits in the area covered by the Weld County’s Early Childhood Council and the referral agency Promises for Children. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.
Does ABC East Child Development Center accept CCCAP child care assistance?
- Yes. The state record shows ABC East Child Development Center authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation means the provider can accept CCCAP families, not that it has a funded place open now, so ask before you apply.
