  • Horrible experience with this business and would not recommend anyone to send their children to this facility. It is unsafe and unwelcoming to inquiries about their multiple infractions with the state.

  • Active Learners is the best daycare in the area. Everyone who works there is very loving and fun. My son has been there for over two years and he still loves it. Tami, Martha and Chan are always there to love on the kids and keep everything moving smoothly. The outdoor time is heavily prioritized, which we did not see for the closest daycare. My son is outside 4-5 hours at least on nice days, sometimes more. In my opinion, fresh air and play time are the best thing for a toddler. On top of that, the staff is so experienced they aren’t phased by anything it feels. They help so much with potty training and learning. I can’t say enough positive things about this wonderful place.

  • Active Learners Academy is amazing, we send our 3 kids here. We toured several other daycares in the area and this was the only one that we felt comfortable with. We have been absolutely impressed by this daycare. The director and all the teachers and staff are always so kind and really care about the kids and their development, teaching them how to kindly interact with others, and preparing them for kindergarten. They hold events for families to showcase what they have been working on which is great and makes it easier to meet other parents and for our kids to introduce us to their friends. Some events they have held include Kona ice events where a slushy truck comes while the kids can do outside activities and art walks and a really cute Christmas show where the kids all sang holiday songs they had been practicing. We came from another daycare that required us to send lunches each day which way a lot of work each morning while trying to get them all out the door. Active learners has a cook and they provide everything- milk, lunches, snacks, even water cups. We don't send anything except a nap blanket on Mondays and keep extra clothes there. It makes mornings very easy. Their turnover is super low for staff as well. There are several teachers who have been there for over 20 years and also several teachers who attended the daycare as kids and are now teachers there which I think is a testament to the kind and loving environment they have created. We love chatting with the teachers and pickup and drop-off and hearing the funny stories about what our kids said or did that day. Our kids love going there. They are excited in the mornings and talk about seeing their friends. I absolutely love that the kids have a playground for each class and they go out 3 times a day to burn that energy outside. Our kids are sick significantly less than previously as well. I think it's their frequency of having the kids wash their hands and teaching them good hands washing hygiene that helps a lot.

  • The owner of ALA is a very kind, compassionate person who truly cares about the children in her care. She was my daughter’s kindergarten teacher at another daycare and she was THE REASON we stayed. Her lessons were well thought out and organized. She challenged the children to do their best but also was very patient with them, always offering positive encouragement and beaming with pride when the children would develop a new skill. .Both my daughters have since worked at ALA and have loved it! They felt the daycare was clean, well-organized and a predictable, safe environment for staff and children to have fun. I have no doubt that ALA is run with the same care and dedication that Tami had as a teacher so many years ago. She truly is amazing!!

  • Active Learners Academy is a wonderful and welcoming daycare. The staff are always kind, caring, and attentive. My extended family has been bringing their children here for years, and now I’m proud to have my son enrolled as well. They’ve consistently set the bar very high when it comes to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for kids. We couldn’t be happier with the care and support they provide.

  • We loved Active Learners! Our daughter went here from 3-10 months and the staff was wonderful. We moved out of the area so I am disappointed that we now have to find a new daycare. I wish I could have moved Active Learners with us :) The staff was very sweet and caring. They update the app that tracks check in/out, eat/sleep etc. all day so you can keep tabs on your little one.

Questions parents ask about ACTIVE LEARNER'S

How many infants and toddlers can ACTIVE LEARNER'S take?

Colorado licenses ACTIVE LEARNER'S for 20 infants and 20 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.

Who can help me find child care near ACTIVE LEARNER'S?

ACTIVE LEARNER'S sits in the area covered by the Arapahoe County Early Childhood Council and the referral agency Child Care Innovations. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.

Does ACTIVE LEARNER'S accept CCCAP child care assistance?

The state record does not show ACTIVE LEARNER'S authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation is county-administered and can change, so confirm with the provider and your county office.
