It's not an easy decision when choosing someone to care for your child. We were recommended this preschool by our neighbors and have sent our children there. They're focused on more play and outdoor time. Having operated for decades, they've built a community among the parents and in this neighborhood. We have maintained our relationships with other parents and our child has as well with their classmates. We highly recommend the Active Learning Center if you're looking for a loving and caring preschool.
David LinJun 9, 2026ALC has a timeless energy. Our child has been there since last year and she has really benefitted from the steady, experienced staff and the open play environment. It encourages her curiosity and joy, and I’m glad we found our way there.
Meghan BogaertsMay 6, 2026Active Learning Center is a neighborhood gem. I have sent both of my children there and the teachers are more than you can ask for. They love their job so much that there has not been any turn over in years. My children come home happy, knowledgeable, compassionate, nurtured and dirty from hours of outdoor play and the Regio Emilia inspiration they model. My oldest child (though an August birthday) was prepared for public school kindergarten last year due to the group learning environment at ALC. I believe my children will have lifelong skills due to the influence they have had at ALC. You can't go wrong by sending your children there!

Matt SmithApr 29, 2026Active Learning Center has been such a wonderful early childhood experience for our daughter, who has truly flourished here. The teachers are fantastic, experienced and care deeply about the children and facilitating a nurturing environment. The classroom and outdoor space are well set up for self-guided exploration, play, art creation and learning. This is such a special place and our family is grateful for our time at ALC!
Naomi PorperApr 28, 2026ALC has been such a wonderful preschool for our children! The staff does such a wonderful job of creating a child centered environment. All of the teachers craft thoughtful lessons, based on the interests of the students. One of the best things about ALC is the amount of time that the children get to spend outside and on open ended play. Both our son and daughter have thrived there!
