The Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster has become one of our family's favorite places to visit. From the moment you step into the tropical conservatory, you're surrounded by hundreds of beautiful butterflies flying freely among lush plants, creating a peaceful and unforgettable experience. It's hard not to slow down and simply appreciate the beauty of nature. What makes this place special is that it's more than just butterflies. The interactive exhibits introduce children and adults alike to fascinating insects, spiders, aquatic invertebrates, and the important role these incredible creatures play in our world. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about conservation, making the experience both fun and educational. As parents, we especially appreciate attractions that engage the entire family. Our kids were captivated by the hands-on exhibits and loved searching for butterflies as they landed throughout the conservatory. It created moments of wonder, curiosity, and connection that we'll remember long after the visit. If you're looking for a family-friendly destination in the Denver metro area that's peaceful, educational, and full of natural beauty, the Butterfly Pavilion is absolutely worth the visit. It's the kind of place that reminds you to slow down, explore, and see the extraordinary in even the smallest creatures. We look forward to coming back again.
AimeeAug 6, 2026⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a Magical Experience! 🦋 We absolutely LOVED the Butterfly Pavilion! This was such a fun, beautiful, and unique experience and honestly one of those places that makes you feel like a kid again. Walking through with butterflies flying all around you was just magical. 🦋 They were everywhere, and it was so much fun slowing down, looking for all the different kinds, and seeing which ones would land nearby. The whole environment was beautiful and peaceful, but still really fun and interactive. We also loved that there was more to see than just butterflies! The different exhibits and creatures made it interesting for everyone, and you could tell there was a real focus on education and conservation without making it feel boring or overly “museum-like.” The staff was friendly, the experience felt well organized, and we genuinely had such a great time. It’s the kind of place that works for kids, adults, families, couples — really anyone who wants to do something a little different. Such a special stop and absolutely worth visiting if you’re in the Denver area. We left smiling and would 100% recommend it! 🦋✨
Samantha OJul 5, 2026Went here on 6/19/26. First time here. Got here right when they opened. It did get very busy while we were there. A couple of day camps had come through. My kids were terrified of the butterflies haha. (4 and 1). But they loved the bug room. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The butterflies were so beautiful. Lots of good information. Thank you!
David KerwinJun 19, 2026Our family visited the Butterfly Pavilion June 6 2026. What a terrific experience for the whole family. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff on hand throughout the facility. Well lighted and maintained displays and habitats of all the marine & wild life. The butterfly pavilion was really the jewel in the crown though and worth the price of admission. Our 18 mo granddaughter was especially captivated by all the visual beauty. What a great way to introduce little ones to nature's gifts up close. Thank you very much for the wonderful experience. Keep doing what you're doing.
Carole KochanJun 14, 2026The employees were super welcoming, friendly and personable! The garden was beautiful, along with the diverse butterflies. We were all older but it was nice to see lots of stuff for kids to do. This was our last stop on our trip and it was the perfect way to end it!
Michele McNallyJun 12, 2026We visited the butterfly pavilion during our trip to Colorado. The place was clean and well organized. A little smaller than I expected, but engaging. We did arrive around the same time as a school trip but they were organized enough to make it seem like it wasn't too busy.
