Year over year our kids have had a wonderful experience. We used to be the family that did 6-8 different camps every summer. No more - we found Galileo! They have a thoughtful curriculum with the right balance of education and summer fun. The kids are excited to go and sad to leave. The staff has been extremely communicative, friendly and have a diversity of backgrounds which I believe helps enhance the camp experience.
Joshua MartinJun 10, 2026Think twice before sending your neurodiverse kid. The camp lead, Kim, made a point of shaming my son in front of me when I dropped him off this morning for his behavior (typical 8 year old ADHD disruptions) and threatened to send him home if he did not behave. Of course, after being set up for failure first thing in the morning, he was sent home mid-day. If his behavior was that bad during the week, she could have phoned home or discussed with me directly. I get he has a lot of energy and can be disruptive, but their inability to problem solve with ND kids or even communicate with parents in efforts to work together was disappointing. Will not be returning and not recommended for Gifted/2E kids. Highly recommend they sending Kim to diversity training.
