  • We love EELC! Our daughter went there from 6weeks to almost 2years and we only left because we moved further away. The admin team is top notch, with you every step of the way, and really make you feel like you’re part of the family. The caregivers really seem to enjoy the kids and are excited to see them every day. The way they integrate you into their family is next-level, and we miss it dearly at our new daycare. We never really interacted with the owners, but the team they have working in the center is wonderful.

  • We loved our time at EELC. Leaving was bittersweet because the experience was so positive for our family. Our daughter attended from 6 weeks old until she was 3.5, and throughout that time we always felt she was in excellent hands. One of the things we appreciated most was the consistency of the staff. There was very little turnover, which allowed our daughter to build real relationships with her teachers. It was clear that the teachers genuinely cared about the children and that this work was more than just a job to them. In her final year, we saw some big growth while she was in the preschool classroom with Miss Linda. Drop-offs had previously been difficult for her, but once she joined Miss Linda’s class that anxiety completely disappeared. On her last day, the staff surprised us with a photo book filled with pictures from her years there, along with notes from teachers and friends. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture and made us feel truly valued as part of the community.

  • Edgewater Early Learning Center is a wonderful school. Our daughter has attended for several years, and she is thriving there. We were offered a spot at a private school where we had been on the waitlist, but we chose to stay because of how well she is doing at Edgewater. The staff (Linda, Diana, Neves, Jenee) are wonderful, clearly care deeply about the children, and are passionate about what they do. I would not change anything.

  • My child has been attending Edgewater Early Learning for the last 2.5 years and will stay until she’s 5 yrs old (I wish they had Kindergarten too:)! From day one we appreciated the nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. The teachers are caring, positive, and patient. She is in Miss Linda’s class and has shown great gains in her independence, kindergarten readiness, and social skills. My daughter looks forward to school every day, which is such a blessing!

  • My daughter attended EELC from around 8 months to 2 years. The most top notch thing she got was love and care from her care providers and teachers. They knew and loved her well!. The stellar communication always helped me feel at ease. (They use an app to show pictures and activities throughout the day.) They also did a few events throughout the year which provided an opportunity to connect with other parents: Halloween trunk or treat, cookies with Santa, pictures for the kids (my son who goes to a different school was able to take pictures as well! That was nice!) I’m going to give 4 stars, because it was a like bit pricier than generally affordable for us, and I think the facilities could use some updating (there were a few days of care cancelled because of heating issues or water leaks. I think they may have plans for updating that in the future.)

  • My partner and I went to go pick up her son from daycare, I waited outside on a bench with my dogs. During this time, a smaller dark-colored car pulled up and parked. An older woman exited the vehicle, and I immediately noticed a strong smell of marijuana and a can of bud light falling out of the car. I was concerned, as it appeared she may have been driving under the influence. I watched as she entered the daycare and, concerned she might be picking up a child while impaired, I walked closer to observe. My partner and her son came out before I could see her leave. I asked my partner if she had noticed an older woman inside the daycare who might have been Native American or Hispanic, and I described what she was wearing. To my surprise, my partner informed me that the woman was actually one of the teachers who works there, Linda Martinez. I made sure to let my partner know what I had just witnessed. Since this incident, my partner decided to withdraw her son from the daycare, which has since changed its name from Lightway at Sloans to Edgewater Learning Center. While I understand that recreational marijuana use is legal in Colorado, I do not believe it is appropriate for daycares to employ individuals who use marijuana, particularly while on duty and caring for young children. I also believe that daycare facilities should implement regular drug testing for their employees to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in their care. I decided to write this review because parents deserve to know so they can make informed decisions. Please be carful with who you leave your children with.

Questions parents ask about Edgewater Early Learning Center

How many infants and toddlers can Edgewater Early Learning Center take?

Colorado licenses Edgewater Early Learning Center for 5 infants and 10 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.

Who can help me find child care near Edgewater Early Learning Center?

Edgewater Early Learning Center sits in the area covered by the Gateway Partnership for Early Childhood Council and the referral agency Child Care Innovations. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.

Does Edgewater Early Learning Center accept CCCAP child care assistance?

The state record does not show Edgewater Early Learning Center authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation is county-administered and can change, so confirm with the provider and your county office.
