I took my 16-month-old to the EUREKA! McConnell Science Museum yesterday, and we both had such a great time! This is one of those places that’s just as enjoyable for adults as it is for kids. There are so many hands-on exhibits and science experiments, including creative projects built by local students, which was really neat to see. My toddler especially loved the indoor play area with the train table, wooden cars, STEM building activities, and the ball maze where you send plastic balls through different tubes to watch where they come out. We also enjoyed seeing the fish and marine life, including tiny starfish and swordtails. There’s an outdoor playground as well, though I’d say it’s probably best suited for kids around 5 years and older. Before we left, we stopped by the gift shop and were pleasantly surprised by the prices—they had lots of fun items that were actually affordable. If you’re looking for something fun, educational, and indoors (especially on those hot Grand Junction days), I definitely recommend checking this place out. We can’t wait to go back!
Lea LoveAug 3, 2026What everyone else says - such a great museum! Everyone in our family (6, 10, 36, and 38) greatly enjoyed our time here! Definitely should be on the agenda for any family visiting the area.
Rebecca PhilipsenJun 24, 2026Atrended a children's birthday party at Eureka and it was pretty great. The kids had a good time and the staff were really engaged with them.
BrianMar 6, 2026Love this place. We come through the area about once a winter and our daughter has been here multiple times (now 4yos). We're at the stage where she can explore and investigate more on her own but it's been a great place for all four years of visiting. Worth the price, so much to do, and even if they appear busy with school programs you don't notice it.
HBDec 30, 2025This is a good place for families to go and encourage their children to learn more about the sciences. You can get a free pass from Mesa County library.
Gary Hypes (hypesgary)Sep 27, 2025Fun museum with something for everyone. There are a lot of great interactive displays, a rock room, water tables, and much more! They have clean restrooms and a nice gift shop at the front of the museum. Prices were affordable and we had fun for the whole afternoon.
