We had a softball game at 8:00 pm 7/1 at the Lions Park fields. My husband is handicapped and was unable to use bathrooms in the building because of codes being used on the doors to unlock. No one had a code available. There was four portable toilets (and not one of those for handicap) all were locked with black zip ties. Not sure but we all find this very poor management. And definitely not acceptable for handicap individuals. And at 10:00 pm the sprinklers came on in the field area, so the game was unable to be completed. Very poor management

allison burnoJun 7, 2026I just want to say how grateful I am for all the lifeguards at this community center. You can tell they genuinely care about keeping everyone safe, and that kind of focus deserves way more appreciation. It’s a little disappointing seeing people treat this place like a daycare or expect nonstop entertainment. It’s not their job, they’re here to watch the water and protect. If you’re bored, there are plenty of sports to join or jobs to pick up. I have been coming here for years and have never once questioned the safety or cleanliness. Golden Community Center has always been on point, and that’s because of the hardworking staff. Thank you for everything you do we see you and appreciate you.
jointaviousApr 17, 2026Nice community center with a lap and fun pool with slide. Good selection of workout equipment and nice meeting rooms. The Parking can get a little crazy at time especially when folks are everywhere during the summer.
