  • H&H is truly special. The environment is genuinely warm and community-oriented. This does not feel like a typical school/daycare, families and children truly belong. The teachers are phenomenal and we didn't experience any turnover during our entire time there. They cared for our son with such tenderness and love and treated him like family. What moved us most was how deeply and genuinely they knew him as an individual while still encouraging his independence. That kind of personal connection and attention is rare, and we are so grateful our son had the privilege of experiencing it. We were extremely sad to go (if only they had a program for +3yo, both our children would be there!). Thank you Marioly, Wendy, Maki, Minerva and Valerie, we are so grateful!

  • We were so lucky to get a spot for our son at Heart & Hands. Our son started in the infant room at 7 months old. The teachers and director are very attentive to each child’s individual needs, something we experienced during our sons transition to the toddler room - when he wasn’t ready at the first try they gave him some more time in the infant room instead of forcing a transition he wasn’t ready for. H&H prioritize time outdoors and this is something we value in our family too. The toddlers spend much more time outdoors compared to other daycares we toured. They are outside twice a day, rain, snow and shine, in the summer they do splash days and picnic lunches outside. It has been so wonderful to see our son learn and grow during his time at heart and hands. The teachers and director are wonderful and so so caring. We have nothing but good things to say about this daycare and can’t recommend it enough!

  • I wish I could give 6 stars. Heart and Hands was such a special place for our daughter and we feel so lucky to have found them. Walking into the building every day felt like a warm hug. She always entered the room with a huge smile on her face and would reach out for her teachers every morning. The school was intimate and a perfect size for what we needed. We recently moved across the country to be close to family and leaving this daycare was our biggest regret; they were the extension of our family that we didn’t have in Colorado. I would recommend this daycare to any family in the area looking for high quality care for their little ones.

  • H&H is a wonderful daycare! The director Wendy is one of the most caring people I have ever met, and we can't thank her enough for the help she provided. The owner is also very understanding and accommodating. The facility is big, clean, and safe. We also love that the toddlers get to play outside twice a day for a long time as long as the weather permits. My son started there when he was 14 months old. He has always been on the taller side and loves playing with older kids, so my husband and I thought he was ready for the toddler room when he first started (never been to a daycare before). When we first toured H&H my son also mingled well with the toddlers on the outdoor playground. Wendy quickly noticed that my son wasn’t adjusting well to the toddler room, which has a more structured routine, while the infant room is more need-based. She recommended moving him to the infant room and transitioning him back to the toddler room a few months later when he was ready. Sure enough, my son did so much better in the infant room. The teachers in the infant room were all super caring as well. Thank you all! The only reason we left H&H was because of the long commute from both home and work. Overall, I highly recommend H&H!

  • My daughter attended H&H from the time she was 9 months old until 2 years and 7 months. We had a very positive experience overall and my daughter really loved and formed a bond with her teachers. Facilities are safe, clean and well thought out. We would recommend both the infant and toddler room to any family.

  • Our 13-month-old has been at H&H for two months and she's very happy there. She always has a big smile at pick up time, and seems to enjoy the activities and outdoor time as well. The teachers in the infant room are great with the kiddos and do a great job of making sure her needs are met. We love H&H and would happily recommend it to anyone!

Questions parents ask about Heart and Hands Montessori

How many infants and toddlers can Heart and Hands Montessori take?

Colorado licenses Heart and Hands Montessori for 10 infants and 27 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.

Who can help me find child care near Heart and Hands Montessori?

Heart and Hands Montessori sits in the area covered by the Early Childhood Council of Boulder County and the referral agency ECC Boulder Co. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.

Does Heart and Hands Montessori accept CCCAP child care assistance?

The state record does not show Heart and Hands Montessori authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation is county-administered and can change, so confirm with the provider and your county office.
