My kids thought this camp was a lot of fun! They came home happy and exited to share all of there adventures at camp! They mentioned they felt very safe with the counselors and had a deep sense of belonging. They count down the days until they are back at camp and still make references every single day! This camp also gave them so much confidence in themselves me to step out of there comfort zones.
Melissa SugarJan 17, 2026My kids love this camp. They had a wonderful time with the overnight and loved the food even after hearing it was bad; they thought it was yummy. The counselors were amazing and took great care of the kids. They made sure they had plenty of water and that they were saying hydrated throughout the day as well. They made many friends that even after camp they keep in touch with. The hikes that they went on and activities were challenging in a good way, and very fun. Overall this camp was great and my kids had a great time! My children were in week 5 and really enjoyed everything about the camp, especially that they got beads anytime they did anything well. I think it was a good system to keep kids in check but also make sure they had loads of fun. Even after camp they still talk about it all the time!
Vinnie JohnsonNov 1, 2025My daughter had the greatest time at Discovery camp this past summer. We flew in from Hawaii for her to attend and it did not disappointment. She learned so many outdoor skills, made lasting friendships, and months later is still talking about how it was her favorite camp ever. We're considering another trip next summer for TWO kids! Thank you KSS.
Ashley MinSep 21, 2024My son went for a 2-nights school field trip and the first thing he told us when came back was how horrible the food was. He didn't eat much tried but said everything was not tasting good beside the Taco, some kids ate nothing... about the place and activities: he loved it. I wish the KSS could see some reviews and the feedback they receive from the kids and consider chance the food options they are serving for something more fresh with variety.
Cristiane VitalAug 23, 2024We have been very happy with KSS for two years now. My son is always happy when we pick him up and the counselor assistant program is also good for him now that he has aged out of discovery. It is on the expensive side but they do a lot of offsite activities that likely have high costs. Highly recommend.
Jmamawow HJun 29, 2024Our two kids (10 and 11 years old) just finished a one week Discovery camp. It was their first overnight camp experience. They loved it! There was lots of adventure including an overnight hike , white-water rafting and summiting a 13,000 foot peak. They made great friends and the loved the counselors. As parents we were taking a bit of a gamble coming from out of state but were immediately re-assured by the staff when we arrived and by the consistent updates (and pictures) about our kids while they were at camp.
