LUMP is not only amazing preschool offering a variety of options but it is a tight knit community. The staff and teachers are the most welcoming, encouraging and wonderful people you’d could ever want to be help your kids learn and grow! We couldn’t be happier that we’ve had the privilege to be part of the extraordinary community and school!
Gina JohnsonOct 11, 2025Lakewood United Methodist Preschool is excellent. As a retired teacher and a devoted grandmother, I have to say I am very impressed with the staff, the programs and the environment. You can’t ask for a better place for children to learn and grow.
Marianne ScottOct 10, 2025We have had two children attend LUMP so far and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The school makes us feel like family and we know our kids are loved on and well cared for while there. We love that the focus is on building social skills alongside PLAY which is the best way for preschoolers to learn. We love LUMP and can’t wait for our third child to attend the program as well.
Tristan ShipmanOct 9, 2025My daughter is in her second year attending LUMP preschool and we couldn’t be happier with our experience there. The teachers and all staff are exceptional! They make a huge effort to engage the kids in play based learning, always focused around the children’s interests. My daughter LOVES going to school each day, has made friends, and is always excited to tell me all about it. As a parent, I really appreciate all of the different programs they offer and have found it beneficial for my daughter to slowly add on more time at preschool. It has made school such a positive experience for her. It is a unique preschool offering lots of opportunities for parents to engage in the classroom and get to know the other kids and families. I love that my daughter says hi to all the other parents by name at pickup and drop off. What a magical introduction to classroom based learning!
Katie DouglasOct 9, 2025We love being a part of the community at LUMP! The staff is so caring and fun, the play based curriculum is a perfect fit, and it is such a welcoming group. Highly recommend!
Kathryn BillingsOct 9, 2025My experience at LUMP so far has been amazing! We moved here in September from South Carolina. I have a 5 year old in the Transition class and a 3 year old in the two mornings per week class. The move was tough on my 5 year old, but his teacher Ms.Ana really helped him through the transition. She is so kind and patient with the kids, and my boys are always so excited to go to school! They have both made really good friends in their class, and I have as well with the other parents. It’s such a warm and welcoming community and I already feel at home in the 2.5 months we’ve been here! I love that they offer the Transition class for summer babies who aren’t quite ready for kindergarten yet. I’m so happy I decided to give him that extra year. He’s already growing and learning so much, and most importantly he loves going to school and playing with all his friends! :)

Questions parents ask about LAKEWOOD UNITED METHODIST PDO + PRESCHOOL
How many infants and toddlers can LAKEWOOD UNITED METHODIST PDO + PRESCHOOL take?
- Colorado licenses LAKEWOOD UNITED METHODIST PDO + PRESCHOOL for 6 infants and 21 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.
Who can help me find child care near LAKEWOOD UNITED METHODIST PDO + PRESCHOOL?
- LAKEWOOD UNITED METHODIST PDO + PRESCHOOL sits in the area covered by the Gateway Partnership for Early Childhood Council and the referral agency Child Care Innovations. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.
Does LAKEWOOD UNITED METHODIST PDO + PRESCHOOL accept CCCAP child care assistance?
- The state record does not show LAKEWOOD UNITED METHODIST PDO + PRESCHOOL authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation is county-administered and can change, so confirm with the provider and your county office.
