  • We had two daughters go through Mission Hills Early Learning Center, both of which had an amazing experience! Each of their teachers cared for them deeply and the full staff did a great job making the experience very positive for them. We would (and have) highly recommend Mission Hills Early Learning Center to others who have Pre-K needs in the area!

  • This is by far the greatest Christian based ELC in the area. We have had two children go through Mission Hills ELC and we are incredibly grateful for the years we have spent at this school. The director, Shelley is one of the most loving, genuine and intentional people I have ever met and she has selected amazing teacher for the program. There is a huge focus on serving others (food, drives, operation Christmas child, clothing drives) to teach our little learners about giving. There is a monthly chapel time for kids to praise and dance. There are movement classes and focus on emotional regulation. Kids are truly known and LOVED at MHELC. My daughter could have attended preschool at our neighborhood school this year, but the foundations built at MHELC are too important to send her anywhere else. My only complaint is that there isn’t a K-12 program and I can’t keep them here forever. Go take a tour, meet Shelley (and the rest of the amazing staff) and you will know how truly wonderful and special MHELC is.

  • We've had our two kids go through the Mission Hills Early Learning Center programs for their entire pre-school education and have had nothing but great experiences. Our oldest was set up excellently for kindergarten and our younger is doing great and heading to kindergarten in the fall. They mirror our values and provide an excellent education. While we've not had all the teachers, we can specifically state that Mrs. Loring, Mrs. Wenig, Mrs. Martens, Ms. Barbie, Ms. Kimberly, Ms. Stephanie are all amazing teachers and aides that show these kids lots of love and attention while preparing them for elementary school.

  • It is very unfortunate that this center calls themselves Christian, they behave far from it. I am extremely disappointed in the leadership from the directors and from some of the staff. I will not be re-enrolling my child next year nor will I be referring friends or family members to this center. I have found out through gossip, which is very inappropriate the amount of clickishness that this center exhibits. And unless you fit into it or into their mold you will be treated poorly and have false statements brought against you. It is hard to come across good preschool teachers who have open communication with the parents and accommodate and do all that they can for each student and their classroom and the Blue room teacher was amazing, there was always an open line of communication and that classroom did so much and there was great experiences for my child there but ,once the new aid Stephanie stepped in there, I don't know if there was jealousy or insecurity but her behavior and accusations against the teacher were uncalled for the so-called Christian directors to only listen to Stephanie was absurd because she is very immature and had recently just became aide in a classroom. What an unfortunate event because the school could have been great but instead you would rather keep Aides around that are very immature, drinking buddies and social media friends then invest in real Christian teachers. If this is how a Christian preschool is run I want nothing to do with it and I encourage others to step away from this center. I will say this I am going to find out where that teacher went and follow her. My child had learned so much and gained so much confidence with her.

Questions parents ask about MISSION HILLS EARLY LEARNING CENTER

How many infants and toddlers can MISSION HILLS EARLY LEARNING CENTER take?

Colorado licenses MISSION HILLS EARLY LEARNING CENTER for 24 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.

Who can help me find child care near MISSION HILLS EARLY LEARNING CENTER?

MISSION HILLS EARLY LEARNING CENTER sits in the area covered by the Arapahoe County Early Childhood Council and the referral agency Child Care Innovations. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.

Does MISSION HILLS EARLY LEARNING CENTER accept CCCAP child care assistance?

The state record does not show MISSION HILLS EARLY LEARNING CENTER authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation is county-administered and can change, so confirm with the provider and your county office.
