  • From infant to kindergarten, Mon Petit has been a great place for our little one to learn and grow! Attentive and well trained staff, lots of outdoor activities, and a positive environment. Highly recommend!

  • This daycare and its staff have been such a joy to work with. They always have the kids’ safety and wellbeing in mind. In a time when staffing at any facility (medical, schools, stores, etc.) is struggling, it’s amazing to know my kid is safe here. Shout out to Ms Cat, Hannah, Evelyn,Skye, Rebecca, Kimberly, Deb, and Debbie (and all the team!) for keeping us sane on the daily! The Sweeneys are grateful to be here!

  • I just wanted to share that we have had a great experience with Mon Petit! My son has been coming here since he was 4 months old and is now almost 3. We have loved all of his teachers and have felt confident that he is being well taken care of. There have been a lot of changes to policies, tuition rates, and staffing over that time however, Mon Petit has been very transparent and communicative about those changes along the way. At no point did I feel that my son’s care had been disrupted by these changes and I believe that most of them are for the better. He continues to be engaged and learning on a daily basis! Thanks Mon Petit for taking such good care of our boy!

  • Do NOT send your kids to Mon Petit. We have had a terrible experience (over and over and over again). Let this be your warning. We have sent three kids to Mon Petit for over five years. To be clear, some teachers were wonderful, but almost all of them have left. Max exodus. What we know and have experienced: - Dishonorable, dishonest in policies and procedures - Breach of contract / failure to honor commitments - MULTIPLE licensing violations, involving unattended/unsupervised children (children left outside of building) - GROSS tuition increase (66%) three weeks into a new school year so parents are stuck and unable to find new care; this came with three weeks warning - Promised to provide teachers wage increases, did not deliver - FIVE teachers have left in just the last MONTH (presumably because of such poor leadership/ownership) - MULTIPLE experiences directly witnessing teachers SHOUTING at small children - Terrible business policies, no ability to manage a budget / P&L; unexpected expenses placed on families; families penalized for lack of ability to financially manage a business - Numerous inconveniences/demands placed on parents who are stretched thin; childcare center should be making your life EASIER AVOID AT ALL COSTS. *** In response to your reply: Perhaps we could have had a conversation had you been at the center when you said you would be or if you had bothered to return my phone call. The center also refused to provide your contact number. It’s certainly confounding that a daycare center would not provide a phone number for the owner of a center where my child is attending. It has been confirmed by MULTIPLE teachers that they never received pay raises after the tuition hike. As I said to you previously, I’d be ok with a moderate (not 66%) increase, so long as those dollars were going into the pockets of hard-working, caring staff. But you didn’t pay them more. Your hand was forced and you started to offer more pay when teachers began dropping like flies. Now the new people, in some cases with less experience, are benefitting from your newest pay policy; however, the staff that had been with you the longest were never rewarded for their loyalty. To be clear, I have deep appreciation for the majority of the staff. The staff are the only reason we stayed so long. We certainly didn’t stay for the inept management, nor did we stay for the underhanded and dishonest policies. But you have lost most of your staff, and we all know why. Having said that, facts are facts. The above are indisputable. I have the receipts. And I’ve spoken to dozens of parents who are greatly displeased with Mon Petit’s policies and practices. The travesty is that most parents are afraid to speak out because there are so few other childcare options in this area and they depend on you. The reality is you are dishonest, disloyal, and your focus is in the wrong place. Do better. Mean what you say and say what you mean. Honor your commitments. That seems to be a real problem for you. You should work on that. And that’s because you’re so focused on your own personal benefits and profits. Operating as you have is bad for business, bad for community and ultimately, bad for children. It’s a true shame.

  • We had our LO in class for 2 days and found out there was a major behavior problem in our class that wasn’t shared during the interview - kids were picking on each other very aggressively: kicking, biting, screaming. There was an immediate removal of LO after learning how this was known and not shared with our family to prepare us or her for bad behavior. Mom Petit didn’t have a refund policy. Make sure you 100% know you want to be there and will love it before you commit. I’m sure there are good people doing their best but this felt like a business transaction with all the extra costs we paid for like building fees etc before starting.

  • We absolutely love this place! The owners, managers and staff, and community are just wonderful. They have a child-centric approach and are thoughtful about getting to know each kid as an individual. They take excellent care of our son and just did an amazing job adapting through the pandemic. We love the facility, which was designed for small humans as well as the curriculum-- music class, sign language, tons of educational activities. The app they use is very easy, modern. Snacks are healthy and they even do field trips for preschoolers and up. It's just a fantastic place.

Questions parents ask about Mon Petit Academy

How many infants and toddlers can Mon Petit Academy take?

Colorado licenses Mon Petit Academy for 10 infants and 34 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.

Who can help me find child care near Mon Petit Academy?

Mon Petit Academy sits in the area covered by the Gateway Partnership for Early Childhood Council and the referral agency Child Care Innovations. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.

Does Mon Petit Academy accept CCCAP child care assistance?

The state record does not show Mon Petit Academy authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation is county-administered and can change, so confirm with the provider and your county office.
