  • We love Primrose at Wheat Ridge Applewood! We were very nervous to move our daughter from her then-current school, but we needed something closer to home and this school had just opened. She was two years old when she started. On her third day at Primrose, she looked at me as we were walking into school and goes “Mommy, new school makes me so happy”. That was all I needed to hear to know we made the right decision to move her. She continues to thrive and has fallen in love with all her teachers and her friends. The owners are always around, and they know all the kids’ names. I truly do not feel like I send my child to daycare — it feels like a school that has each child at the center of everything they do. We are very happy!

  • We absolutely love Primrose School of Wheat Ridge at Applewood! From the caring teachers to the welcoming environment, it’s clear that the children are truly the heart of everything they do. The staff goes above and beyond to create a safe, nurturing, and fun place for children to learn and grow. There is such a strong sense of community at the school, and the teachers genuinely care about getting to know each child and their individual needs. The communication with families, engaging activities, and attention to health and safety really stand out. We are so grateful for the wonderful team at Primrose and would highly recommend this school to any family looking for a place where their child will be loved, supported, and encouraged every day! ❤️

  • We started Primrose right after opening with my daughter who was at home with family for her first 3 years. They were amazing at helping her adjust to the change and made her a personalized book to read to her in the mornings to assist in the transition. The teachers are great at updates throughout the day too, which helps a lot when I’m missing her at work :)

  • We left a nanny share for this school and I was hesitant. We loved our nanny and our toddler loved the boys in the share. I shouldn’t have been concerned one bit. Though a new school, the owners run a great program. The space is clean and their processes smooth, as though this place has been running for years. My kiddo LOVES her teachers and loves her peers. She’s been there a couple months now and so many kids from her class have turned into her closest friends. They update her day in the app in insane detail and share the best photos of her throughout her day. Her vocabulary is exploding and get this — she has used the potty on her own, unprompted, before she even turned 2. She says full sentences at home and I know she learned it at school. They have a curriculum that is structured but fun, and focused on creating kind kids with good boundaries. I don’t know what magic they’re using in that place but I’ll take it. Worth every penny.

Questions parents ask about Primrose of Wheat Ridge at Applewood

How many infants and toddlers can Primrose of Wheat Ridge at Applewood take?

Colorado licenses Primrose of Wheat Ridge at Applewood for 24 infants and 48 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.

Who can help me find child care near Primrose of Wheat Ridge at Applewood?

Primrose of Wheat Ridge at Applewood sits in the area covered by the Gateway Partnership for Early Childhood Council and the referral agency Child Care Innovations. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.

Does Primrose of Wheat Ridge at Applewood accept CCCAP child care assistance?

Yes. The state record shows Primrose of Wheat Ridge at Applewood authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation means the provider can accept CCCAP families, not that it has a funded place open now, so ask before you apply.
