Such an amazing place. The staff was so friendly and professional. My daughter looks forward to camp all year long.
Chad GarrettJul 1, 2026Update: When I brought this to leadership, the response was dismissive and defensive rather than solution-oriented. Most disappointingly, after providing this feedback, our child was denied permission to attend this year. It appears the camp prefers to remove families who voice concerns rather than address gaps in their own standards of care. If you value transparent communication and true inclusion, I would look elsewhere. _________ While Roundup River Ranch frequently uses the word "inclusive" in its marketing and mission statements, our recent experience suggests that this value isn't consistently practiced on the ground. Inclusivity should mean that every child feels seen and provided for without having to advocate for their basic participation. Unfortunately, our camper was repeatedly forced to beg for popcorn while watching all the other children receive it. This happened again at breakfast, where they had to beg for pancakes. It is incredibly disheartening for a child to have to plead for food that is being freely given to their peers, especially in an environment that claims to be designed for them. For a camp that prides itself on creating a supportive space, failing to ensure equal access to simple camp staples like snacks and breakfast is a significant oversight. We expected much more care and proactive attention to detail.
Ayrolyn KeadyApr 9, 2026Our family loves Roundup River Ranch! Can’t wait to be back next year!
Kelli MorganSep 9, 2024Hands down one of the best places on earth. This camp is a place for children with serious illnesses and their families. The whole staff works incredibly hard to make these kiddos have time away from their illness and enjoy being a regular kid. There are so many things for these kids to do from horseback riding, archery, challenge course, fishing, and the list goes on and on. There's not enough words to say how amazing the staff is! The staff from behind the scenes to ones that work directly with the kids are so friendly, knowledgeable and amazing! I wish we could live there year-round.
Amanda GehmanJul 11, 2023My young son has gone to cancer camp here for years and it has been life changing. He actually gets to feel like a normal kid this one week a year! They are unplugged from electronics and get to experience true outdoor childhood things. For a week they aren’t cancer patients, they are just kids! As a parent, It’s also a week for me to breathe and get a break from caregiving. I don’t mountain drive but they bring him up from the hospital for me. Amazing!!!
Sarah Clarke KleinhansApr 24, 2021I was on the final cleanup crew for the construction of the clinic and cafeteria/ barn, and i got to meet the kids at coors field while selling funnel cakes last summer! this place has been on my mind forever! love you guys and wish you well!
