Today, we closed one of the most beautiful chapters of our lives. I knew this day would eventually come, but nothing could have prepared my mama heart for it. Walking my baby through those doors today felt so different. It was the end of the place that watched her grow from a tiny six-week-old baby into the little girl who is now ready for kindergarten. These walls have held so many memories—her first smiles, first friendships, first art projects, first lessons, and countless hugs. You loved my little girl when I couldn’t be with her. You celebrated every milestone, comforted her through hard moments, encouraged her, and helped shape the sweet, kind, confident, and caring little person she is today. Although she’ll still come back for drop-in care from time to time, today marks the end of the everyday routine we’ve known for nearly five years. Somehow, that made saying goodbye so much harder than I ever imagined. I also want to apologize to all of you for the tears today. I truly tried so hard to keep it together, but I just couldn’t. Thank you for comforting both Addison and me and for wrapping us in so much love. Your kindness in those moments meant more than you’ll ever know. Time is such a thief. It feels like just yesterday I was carrying my tiny baby through your doors, and now I’m watching her get ready to begin kindergarten. The years went by far too quickly. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for every hug, every lesson, every word of encouragement, every smile, every craft, every story, every laugh, and every ounce of love you poured into my little girl. Because of all of you, she is walking into kindergarten with confidence, kindness, curiosity, and a heart full of wonderful memories. You have been so much more than teachers you have been family. We will always be grateful for the love and care you gave my baby and for the incredible impact you’ve had on our lives. This isn’t just goodbye to a daycare it’s goodbye to a place that helped raise my baby, and that is something I will never forget. Thank you for loving our family so well. We love you all, and you’ll forever hold a special place in our hearts. all our love and gratitude
Perla GreenJul 31, 2026Do not send neurodivergent kids or kids with behavioral challenges here. My autistic 4 year old went to this school for 4 months and we had a terrible experience. The only good thing that came of going here was the connection to OT and behavioral therapy. The teachers frequently spoke negatively about my son to me in front of him and other children. Staff put him in holds, spoke to him unkindly, and isolated him from the class because they were unable to handle typical autistic behaviors. They expelled him without following their own policies, never met with me even though I requested a meeting, and did not create a behavioral plan for him. His sudden expulsion came shortly after I shared with staff that he was being evaluated for an IEP and assessed for ADHD and autism. When I shared this with one of his teachers, she said to me "he doesn't have autism, he makes eye contact." My son was afraid of school after his experience here. I then put him into public school and received his autism diagnosis - even without an IEP, his behaviors have never been unmanageable at public school and he has never been sent home (SBS sent him home daily bc they couldn't manage behaviors). This illustrates a clear issue with the environment and staff. Teachers and staff should be educated and understanding of neurodivergence, and adults should never place blame on a child for their inability to manage their own classroom and emotions. Disgusted with how they handled everything, especially after seeing how easily his currently school supports him.
Britt WMay 19, 2026I absolutely love this place. It was so hard for me to put my two year old granddaughter in daycare. The teachers in my granddaughters classroom (Toddler 1) are amazing! I know that she is being well taken care of!
Dina SenaAug 6, 2025A very clean and fun place to be for kids. They have an excellent outdoor play area for a variety of ages. If I lived closer I would absolutely send my child here.
Kory ZapJun 24, 2025A Haven of Love and Learning for Little Ones! I am thrilled to share my overwhelmingly positive experience with Step by Step, where every day feels like a home away from home for my precious little one. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were welcomed with open arms by a team of dedicated and loving staff members who have truly become an extended family for our child. One of the standout features of Step by Stepis the unparalleled warmth and care provided by the staff. Their genuine love for children is evident in every interaction, creating an environment that fosters a sense of security and trust. It's heartwarming to see how the caregivers not only meet the basic needs of the children but go above and beyond to ensure they feel cherished and valued. The curriculum at Step by Step is nothing short of exceptional. It's thoughtfully designed to engage young minds in a variety of stimulating activities that promote holistic development. From enriching educational exercises to creative playtime, each day is filled with a perfect balance of structured learning and free play. I appreciate how the curriculum is not only educational but also encourages social skills, independence, and creativity, laying a strong foundation for future academic success. What sets Step by Step apart is the personalized attention each child receives. The staff takes the time to understand the unique needs and interests of every child, tailoring activities to suit their individual developmental milestones. This personalized approach ensures that each child is given the tools they need to thrive, fostering a love for learning that will last a lifetime. Moreover, the communication between the daycare and parents is exceptional. Regular updates, open lines of communication, and a transparent approach make us feel involved in our child's day-to-day experiences. It's reassuring to know that we are always in the loop about our child's progress, achievements, and any special moments they've had throughout the day. In summary, Step by Step is not just a daycare; it's a haven of love and learning. The outstanding staff, combined with a stellar curriculum, creates an environment where children flourish emotionally, socially, and intellectually. I wholeheartedly recommend Step by Step to any parent seeking a nurturing and stimulating environment for their little ones. Our family is truly grateful for the positive impact this daycare has had on our child's early years.
Mallory MunningsFeb 15, 2024I had to return to work when my daughter was only around 3 months old and both my husband and I were pretty apprehensive about sending her to daycare so young, but Step-by-Step has been fantastic about alleviating our concerns since day one and now it's like a second home for my daughter. She loves going to daycare here and always has a big smile for Miss Salina when I drop her off every day. She's been really happy about being able to interact with other babies during the day as well; she's made a bunch of friends already. The daycare is clean and safe, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I'm really grateful that we were able to enroll our daughter here.

Questions parents ask about Step By Step Child Development Center
How many infants and toddlers can Step By Step Child Development Center take?
- Colorado licenses Step By Step Child Development Center for 20 infants and 24 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.
Who can help me find child care near Step By Step Child Development Center?
- Step By Step Child Development Center sits in the area covered by the Early Childhood Partnership of Adams County and the referral agency Child Care Innovations. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.
Does Step By Step Child Development Center accept CCCAP child care assistance?
- Yes. The state record shows Step By Step Child Development Center authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation means the provider can accept CCCAP families, not that it has a funded place open now, so ask before you apply.
