My child went here several years ago and we had a horrible experience. I am protecting our identity as we are in an identity program and don’t care to go back and forth with the unprofessional staff here regarding my experiences. My child and I were discriminated against and Jen has til this day been the most unprofessional person I have ever met. This location even refused to offer me the district office phone number to discuss my concerns, claiming they did not have one. While teaching tree was unaware of my child's disability they had one and they treated them terribly which led to school avoidance for my TODDLER for many years. I can confidently say that, with the right staff and support from supportive child care and schools over the years, my child is doing well and has been very successful. Unfortunately, low-income families do not have many options. But by all means avoid this place and read reviews from other concerned parents as this place tries to silence you (for me it was by not offering a district office phone number). If you have a child who struggles in any way and has a disability whether known or not do not expect the staff to be supportive and respectful to your child or family. This place was awful for us based on our lived experience. Hopefully, the staff has changed and people here are kinder, more respectful, and understanding of the children and their families. But if this place is still under Jen’s care I would run she treated my child and my family inhumanely and caused trauma for my child.
John SmithMay 21, 2026We are so grateful for Teaching Tree and the incredible care they have shown our son. After a difficult experience at a previous provider, where he would cry and talk about mean kids, we were worried about finding a place where he would feel safe and happy. But from the moment we stepped into Teaching Tree, we knew we had found the right place. Our son is now excited to be dropped off every morning, and he always comes home happy and full of stories about his day. The teachers are incredibly warm and nurturing, and they create a truly welcoming and supportive environment. We can see the difference in his confidence and his overall well-being. Thank you, Teaching Tree, for providing our son with a safe and loving space where he can thrive.
Brian HudsonOct 3, 2024Teaching Tree is an amazing place and we are privileged to have our 2 babies there! The staff and teachers are kind, attentive, and caring to our kiddos. Can't say enough good things about this place and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful daycare.
Michael RossmanApr 21, 2024Our family absolutely loves Teaching Tree. Both of our sons have been lucky enough to attend from 4 months on. We feel extremely fortunate that we were able to get intoTeaching Tree right away when our first child came along. We have always felt that our children were safe and cared for, in an equally fun and educational manner. The teachers and staff are so wonderful, we truly couldn’t ask for more. I know many people struggle to find reliable and trustworthy childcare, I couldn’t be more grateful to Teaching Tree that we are lucky enough to be part of their community.
Casey PaquetteJun 4, 2020Both of my grandsons have attended Teaching Tree in Fort Collins since they were 8 weeks old and they have had the best experience! The oldest is now 6 years old and entered Kindergarten last fall and was equipped with everything he needed to be successful and then some! The youngest is 2 yrs old and loves his teachers and friends so much! Teaching Tree is a super reliable and loving daycare and has been the most amazing resource for my daughter. Thank you Teaching Tree!
Marilyn LukasJun 2, 2020I have had my two kiddo spend time at several daycare centers, and The Teaching Tree was by far our favorite. We always felt like the staff truly cared, and went above and beyond. Everyone was always warm, kind, and patient. My kids loved going there. I can’t say enough positive things about The Teaching Tree.

Questions parents ask about Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center
How many infants and toddlers can Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center take?
- Colorado licenses Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center for 20 infants and 48 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.
Who can help me find child care near Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center?
- Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center sits in the area covered by the Early Childhood Council of Larimer County and the referral agency ECC of Larimer County. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.
Does Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center accept CCCAP child care assistance?
- Yes. The state record shows Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation means the provider can accept CCCAP families, not that it has a funded place open now, so ask before you apply.
