  • Our experience at Goddard was fairly surprising given its reputation and price. We were regularly asked to keep our son home or pick him up early due to understaffing (we were offered a tuition reduction to do so — but the was amount significantly less than what we paid per day). There was also a high pressure to accept the offer as declining seemed to raise questions about his safety and care on those days. He was also frequently sent home even when he had no fever or other symptoms - regularly surprising our pediatrician and other parents in my community. I think these constant disruptions meant he never really got the chance to settle into his environment and feel fully comfortable there. And for an area he needed more support, the willingness to lean in and help felt low and that’s what lead us to switching our childcare situation. Since switching childcare providers, he’s thrived in a way that made it clear how much those interruptions had been holding him back. I think the teachers genuinely did their best with the resourcing they had -but at the end of the day, they can only do so much. Additionally, while the priority is our kids and their safety and development, I have to flag what it was like attending Goddard in a household with two working parents. The constant unpredictability also made Goddard incredibly hard to manage logistically. If you have a flexible schedule, it might work fine for you. For us, the lack of stability was tough on us emotionally as two parents who want the best for their kid as well as two people who care about their careers who needed a reliable solution for childcare. Goddard did not fulfill the needs on either end of the spectrum. I am so grateful for our new situation that is welcoming to my son, us as parents and has reintroduced a more stable environment for our careers so we can provide for our family.

  • I would not recommend this daycare based on my experience. One of the biggest concerns was that the teacher-to-child ratio was misrepresented. The staffing levels I was told to expect did not consistently match what I observed, which raised concerns about supervision and the level of attention children were receiving. As you can see in my screenshots there were frequently days where parents were incentivized to keep their child home due to understaffing and if they weren’t able to, to expect their child to be moved between rooms. Instead of having a stable environment with familiar teachers and classmates, children were regularly shuffled back and forth to accommodate staffing and enrollment needs. This created inconsistency and made it difficult to feel confident that my child was receiving the structure and continuity that young children need. Transparency and consistency are extremely important when choosing childcare. Unfortunately, I did not feel that either was adequately provided here. Families considering this daycare should ask detailed questions about actual classroom ratios and how often children are moved between rooms before making a decision.

  • Our son has attended Goddard Arvada for nearly three years, and we couldn't be more pleased with the teachers and management. To us, low staff turnover is one of the clearest signs of a healthy, well-run school — and Goddard Arvada has this! The consistency of familiar, caring faces has made all the difference. We also deeply appreciate the no-technology philosophy in the classrooms. Watching our son grow in his creativity, independence, and play skills over these years has been a joy — and we believe that environment has a lot to do with it. We recommend Goddard Arvada wholeheartedly to any family looking for a nurturing, intentional place for their child to grow.

  • Two kids through Goddard in Arvada - the staff is responsive and proactive and our kids have been well looked after by teachers and staff. Certainly not an easy business to run - they are doing great work!

  • We love it here! Our child is so happy and supported, the teachers and staff are so friendly and accommodating and we enjoy spending time with all the other families we have met. We have seen so much growth in our son since he had started at this facility and we know he is safe and loved everyday.

  • We love The Goddard School of Arvada! It was the best choice we could have made to send our son to school there. The teachers really care about him and it shows. They are patient, supportive, and teach to the whole child - social, emotional, and academic. The owner, Naomi, is lovely and is so passionate about creating a connected community for families.

Questions parents ask about THE GODDARD SCHOOL OF ARVADA

How many infants and toddlers can THE GODDARD SCHOOL OF ARVADA take?

Colorado licenses THE GODDARD SCHOOL OF ARVADA for 19 infants and 45 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.

Who can help me find child care near THE GODDARD SCHOOL OF ARVADA?

THE GODDARD SCHOOL OF ARVADA sits in the area covered by the Gateway Partnership for Early Childhood Council and the referral agency Child Care Innovations. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.

Does THE GODDARD SCHOOL OF ARVADA accept CCCAP child care assistance?

Yes. The state record shows THE GODDARD SCHOOL OF ARVADA authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation means the provider can accept CCCAP families, not that it has a funded place open now, so ask before you apply.
