  • Love this place! We have two kids that attend the learning cottage and they take great care of them both! They really care about your family here and they make you feel like family. Our son is starting school this fall but our infant daughter will be staying until she’s ready to start school.

    Josh DreilingJul 28, 2026
  • The Learning Cottage has taken care of both of my children from 12 weeks forward. They always do fun activities and make sure the kids are safe, healthy, and well cared-for.

    Vanessa NeelyJul 16, 2026
  • My son James went there, I was always greeted with a smile, and they worked with me on my payment to when I got paid! I never picked up my son crying or wet, and he was always fed and happy! I recommend this place if you live in montrose!

Questions parents ask about THE LEARNING COTTAGE

How many infants and toddlers can THE LEARNING COTTAGE take?

Colorado licenses THE LEARNING COTTAGE for 10 infants and 10 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.

Who can help me find child care near THE LEARNING COTTAGE?

THE LEARNING COTTAGE sits in the area covered by the Bright Futures and the referral agency Bright Futures. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.

Does THE LEARNING COTTAGE accept CCCAP child care assistance?

Yes. The state record shows THE LEARNING COTTAGE authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation means the provider can accept CCCAP families, not that it has a funded place open now, so ask before you apply.
