I wish I could leave two reviews as my two kids had very different experiences. We knew being a founding family at a center would come with its growing pains. I visited another Nest center and was impressed by the space, curriculum, and teachers. As we started at the Longmont location, things would go up and down. Some weeks were great and others not so much My oldest didn’t have a steady teacher for an entire year. She switched rooms back and forth and her teachers were constantly turning over for various reasons. She lost so many skills and abilities in that time. Her behavior reflected what was happening day to day. She didn’t always have curriculum implemented. She didn’t have a steady schedule to her day and it showed. My infant daughter had a great experience. Her teachers loved her so dearly and were so kind. I knew that if we kept her there, the toddler teachers would be amazing for her. I sobbed on her last day as her teachers made her feel so loved and celebrated. Ultimately, we chose to move to a different center in town for the benefit of my oldest to be kinder ready. Feedback was not always met with understanding or implantation and communication could be stronger.
Kaelyn VargoAug 7, 2026We loved our experience at the Nest School in Longmont especially the infant rooms (humming birds) and toddler rooms (cardinals). The teachers were wonderful to our 3 children and we would have stayed for a long time but moved out of the state for a job opportunity.
Margaret LittletonJul 17, 2026I cannot wait for my daughter’s last day here. If your child needs any kind of attachment to a caregiver, or any semblance of routine and predictability, this is not the place for your family. I was planning to leave this review only after she has transferred to another childcare facility, but I’m leaving it now in the hopes of discouraging other parents from making our mistake of enrolling here. There was a lot of teacher turnover when my child first started and then things stabilized with 2 excellent teachers in her classroom. We got lots of photos, updates on their learning, and my daughter was happy at drop off to go into her teacher’s arms. Then, the kitchen staff served a (hidden) allergen to a classmate. Because this school is more concerned with appearances of doing the right thing, than with actually doing the right thing, they immediately fired the two teachers without any hesitation or consideration for all the other children under their care. There is clear data that when a safety event like this happens, firing the staff who were remotely involved does not increase safety. On the contrary, they are more likely to prevent future mistakes like this than some random person who is newly hired. This is also a policy failure on administration’s part: if a student in a classroom has a severe enough food allergy, it should not be served in that classroom (or perhaps the school) at all. The only thing separating that child from their allergen was the assumption that a bunch of two-year-olds are not sharing their plates which is a ridiculous strategy, so I’m personally wondering why admin was not immediately fired instead of the teachers who love and care for the children. I and other parents, as well as the impacted teachers themselves, sent emails and attempted to communicate with the administration team asking them to reconsider this incredibly shortsighted decision and received no response whatsoever. For weeks now, drop off has been hell for me and my kid. She gets bounced around between different classrooms and different teachers and we have no idea where to take her in the morning. I’ve been repeatedly late for work because it takes me so long to get out of there in the morning. We get little to no updates about her day, and when I ask my child who was her teacher today, she does not know. I have no idea who is taking care of her. Don’t be fooled by the fresh coat of paint, this place absolutely misses the mark on the things that are most important for early childhood development. Stay away.
Kayla ElortondoJun 25, 2026My grandson has been at The Nest since he was 4 months old, he just turned 1 and we absolutely love the staff at this daycare. I am a very hands on & protective grandmother so it is extremely important to me that my grandson is cared for & loved & these folks love him & even tell him they love him. They have become like family. Thank you, all of you who care for my grandson every day. My heart fills every day when I walk in & see him smiling. I know he's been cared for all day & that is priceless.
Ms CMay 27, 2026We’ve been really happy with our experience at The Nest. It’s great to see the family community that is growing there. Particularly we’ve been happy with the cleanliness and variation of enrichment activities. The outdoor space is also way beyond any other childcare center in Longmont.
Marcie GreubelApr 13, 2026We've tried several preschools and this one is pretty amazing. The daily reports through the app from his teacher are amazing. We can see the growth in him weekly, it's not just play but he is learning things as well.

Questions parents ask about The Nest Schools, Longmont
How many infants and toddlers can The Nest Schools, Longmont take?
- Colorado licenses The Nest Schools, Longmont for 28 infants and 33 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.
Who can help me find child care near The Nest Schools, Longmont?
- The Nest Schools, Longmont sits in the area covered by the Early Childhood Council of Boulder County and the referral agency ECC Boulder Co. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.
Does The Nest Schools, Longmont accept CCCAP child care assistance?
- Yes. The state record shows The Nest Schools, Longmont authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation means the provider can accept CCCAP families, not that it has a funded place open now, so ask before you apply.
