  • Both of my kids attended the daycare. My 4 year old who has been going since birth. And my 7 year old he’s been going since 3. The staff are always on top of things. Love how they update us through the app. They always answer any questions we have. And when I do forget lunch or something I didn’t pack. Love how they have a fully stocked kitchen and always are prepared. I rather small daycares than a corporate ran daycare. I know my kids teachers personally. And everyone speaks to me. Couldn’t ask for a better staff and let’s not mention the cleaning. It’s always clean!!!

  • We enrolled our 6-month-old and she attended this daycare for a couple months before we decided to seek alternative arrangements. I chose this daycare after being burnt out by almost a year-long search for a home daycare. My husband and I toured a couple of centers and ultimately chose this one due to the lower cost. We paid $395/week, about $100/week less than most other reputable centers. I write this review not to denigrate, but to share our experience, which seems to differ from many other reviews. Had I read a review like this while searching, we likely would have made a different choice. For starters, the director and assistant director seemed kind, and staff always greeted us. However, we ultimately felt this daycare provided more of a “supervisory” or babysitting experience. I never got the sense the infant room staff were intentionally encouraging development. In the two months she attended, I can count on two hands the number of times I picked her up and she wasn’t lying in a bouncer. Whatever the reason, the overall level of engagement and attentiveness was not what we expected from an infant program. The daycare has a large center room shared by all classrooms, which is a nice concept, but I felt the infants spent far too much time there. My daughter was exposed to many children—which we appreciated—but she was also sick for roughly 85% of the time she attended. The carpet was also consistently dirty and heavily stained from foot traffic, and it did not appear to be cleaned or sanitized regularly. Seeing babies crawling and sitting on it was difficult. We repeatedly asked the infant teachers to help our daughter take a third nap. Many days she woke from her second nap before 1 p.m., forcing me to leave work early so she could take a car nap before bedtime. We sent several messages through the app, but they were often never acknowledged. I ultimately do believe they attempted a third nap on some days, but the lack of communication and collaboration was frustrating. Many afternoons around 3 p.m., we found all of the infants and teachers sitting together in the center room socializing with staff from other classrooms. It puzzled me why they spent so much time there when the infant room itself was spacious. On one occasion we picked my daughter up and they were in the infant room however one teacher was laying down on the floor on what appeared to be a FaceTime call. The other teacher had just stepped away from her rocking chair, where in front of her on the floor were children lying in bouncers. My biggest concern was that my daughter was frequently left in a bouncer. On one occasion my husband arrived to find her asleep in one, and the teacher lifted her out by her shoulders, startling her awake. During her final week, we again found her sleeping in a bouncer. Given that we had specifically asked for help getting her naps in, it was hard to understand why she wasn’t simply put in her crib. Not to mention, infants sleeping in bouncers is not considered safe sleep. A less serious but recurring frustration was how dirty she came home each day. We explained that she had reflux and needed to wear a bib, and we sent clean bibs daily, yet they were rarely used. She often came home with stained clothes and dried food still on her face. We also received very few photos throughout her time there. Ultimately, every family has different priorities and financial budgets. This daycare may be a good fit for some, but for us it did not provide the level of care, communication, or engagement we were looking for, and we are much happier with the alternative arrangement we found. As a first-time mom, I spent countless hours during my pregnancy and maternity leave trying to find the right childcare option. Had I come across a review like this before making our decision, I would have toured additional daycares and gladly paid the extra $100 per week for a program that was more communicative, development-focused, and aligned with what we were looking for.

  • My family has been at Building Blocks since 2018. The care that they have provided my children from infancy-preschool is unmatched! The staff turnover is low, so we have really gotten to know both the administration and teachers over almost the decade we have been there. I have felt safe having them provide care to my children during the day and felt that my oldest was well prepared for kindergarten after finishing pre-school there. I would recommend Building Blocks to anyone in the area!

  • We’ve had a really positive experience with this daycare. Communication is always clear and consistent, which gives me peace of mind throughout the day. I especially love the little arts and crafts they do, my son is always so proud to show off what he’s made. Their efforts with potty training have been a huge help, and you can tell they truly care about supporting each child’s development. My 3-year-old loves going every day, talks about his friends all the time, and genuinely enjoys being there. The staff are all wonderful, warm, and attentive. My son absolutely adores Ms. Amber, which says a lot about the kind of care and connection they provide. I also really appreciate the photos they send, it’s so nice to get those little glimpses into his day. I feel confident that he’s in a safe and nurturing environment. I would definitely recommend this daycare to other families.

  • I've known the director of this daycare for over 4 decades, and I can say without hesitation that the care and dedication this staff brings to every family is exceptional. They go above and beyond, often working with families through difficult circumstances, because they genuinely believe every child deserves a safe, nurturing place to grow. It's a sad reality that when efforts to help someone fall short through no fault of the provider, some people respond with anger rather than gratitude. Anyone who has watched this team work knows that their commitment to families never wavers, even when it isn't returned. If you're looking for a daycare where your child will be loved, challenged, and cared for by people who pour their hearts into this work every single day, look no further. This place is the real deal.

  • I wanted to shout out Building Blocks of Windsor for the great care my daughter has received while being there. She started at three years old, she's now 5, and initially we were very apprehensive about starting her at ANY school as we were worried about who we could trust with our child. I did lots of research and based on the great reviews I ended up choosing Building Blocks Of Windsor and I'm very happy with my decision. I'm grateful for the patience that they have had with my child who I'm sure can be rambunctious as many children can be but I commend the staff for their thoroughness and positivity while taking care of her and all of the other children. My daughter has learned a significant amount of things since she's been enrolled, since they have playtime but also designate a time for curriculum including preparing them for kindergarten. Special thanks to the Director Miss Carrie for her helpfulness and professionalism and also my faves Miss Desiree and Miss Tiana. We will be sad what it's time for her to move on to kindergarten :(
