Adventureland Day Nursery # 1

I’m proud to say I’m an alumni of Adventureland Nursery School. Even years later, I still recognize how much that environment shaped the way I think and engage with the world. Adventureland teachers intentionally break down the physical environment around students into meaningful learning experiences. Every activity, space, and interaction is used as an opportunity to teach kids how to observe, question, and understand the world around them. They don’t just give answers, they guide students to think critically and navigate their emotions in a healthy, constructive way. Which I feel helped me build confidence, curiosity, and self awareness at an early age. Looking back, those early lessons helped prepare me to interface with a world that’s constantly changing and increasingly complex. Adventureland prepares kids for school and life. I Highly recommend this nursery/school to any parent looking for a place that truly invests in their child’s development.

Adventureland Day Nursery provided my two children with an excellent educational foundation. In addition to the strong educational fundamentals that the school provided, my children developed a thrust for reading and learning which prepared them for school.

I’m so glad I found Adventureland Nursery Day School on Kansas Ave NW! I wanted to share an updated review because some of the older ones don’t reflect the true essence of this place. To start, the daycare is under new management. The center has been recently renovated so it’s clean, bright, and very welcoming for kids. The biggest difference for me has been my son’s growth. His development, communication, and confidence have improved so much since starting here. The teachers are attentive, patient, and truly caring. I can tell they genuinely love what they do, and I trust them completely with my child. They also have a structured curriculum that focuses on key developmental milestones, which is really important to me as a parent. I was referred by a coworker whose children attended years ago (and are now grown), and it’s clear this daycare has a strong foundation and experience behind it. If you’re looking for a daycare in NW DC that is safe, nurturing, and focused on your child’s development, I highly recommend Adventureland Nursery Day School. As a proud alumni, I can honestly say that Adventureland set a great foundation for my academic journey and I can’t recommend it enough. One of the things that made it so special—and made learning so exciting—was discovering and exploring our city during activities and trips. I still cherish those memories today. Looking back, the care from the staff was amazing, and the environment truly helped build my confidence and a love of learning from such an early age.

As the Director of Adventureland, we would like to clarify that some of the older reviews on this page refer to a separate business that previously operated under the Adventureland name. Reviews posted 1–2 years ago were made during a time when Adventureland Nursery School was not operating due to renovations. Adventureland Nursery School is now fully renovated and accepting new children ages 6 months to 5 years old. While those reviews do not reflect our current team or practices, we sincerely apologize for any confusion they may have caused. Our focus today is on providing a safe, bilingual, and family-oriented educational environment for every child and family we serve.
