Our 4 year old and 1 year old both go here and it's been a great experience. The teachers are some of the warmest, most caring people I've ever met. The level of consistency is incredible. Ms Kiana got my daughter to nap reliably, Ms Maura did her hair every day for a year, Ms Ellen is so loving and maternal that my son runs and jumps into her arms when he sees her, Ms Maricris and Ms Romina taught my daughter to regulate her moods. I could go on about every single teacher my kids have had, but you get the idea. The school administration is also great; Vicki, Ksenia and Ruth are really responsive and also proactive about heading off potential issues. Vicki in particular is the aunt we didn't know our kids needed and we're very grateful for her. They also plan fun social gatherings that connected us with a bunch of other parents who live nearby and have become fixtures of our weekend playdate schedule.
Jeffrey MartinMar 12, 2026My son attended the pkeep program at Kiddie Academy. The staff is very professional and warm. They created a fun, safe, and enriching environment where my son gained all the confidence in the world. It's clear they love what they do. Dc is tough with a school lottery system, and there arent many seats in dcps prek. We were very fortunate to find kiddie Academy, and highly recommend it!
CJ CamachoOct 7, 2025I cannot express enough how much we loved and valued Kiddie Academy. My daughter was enrolled in Kiddie from 7 months to about 2 years old. The staff is terrific, and the directors are very involved and know their students well. We received so much support and advice (as we were new parents!) It felt like a school and gave us a community. My daughter thrived at Kiddie. We ultimately left because we moved to NY, but one of the hardest things about leaving DC was leaving our Kiddie family.
Susu HabayebAug 19, 2025I am so grateful for the time that we spent at Kiddie Academy. We had our son there from 8 mos to 25 mos, when we moved away. I was so grateful to his teachers and staff for taking such good care of him each day. They were very attuned to his needs and personality as he grew. For example, as a new walker he was very cautious and hated anything that made him feel unstable, when the class would go on daily walks to the park they would pair him with the most stable walker in his class or have him hold the teachers hand instead of that adorable toddler-rope-thing. He initiates putting his toys away at home and uses ‘please’ regularly when asking for things. People comment on how well-behaved and polite he is, and I have to give all the credit Kiddie Academy, it definitely isn’t me! Our time there has been such a gift to our entire family - to our son who was thoughtfully cared for every day, and to my husband and I when we did not need to worry about him while we’re at work.
Erica EvansMar 16, 2025Six stars would be a better reflection of KA. This international-friendly school was everything we hoped for when our son started there as a baby. The warmth of the staff, attention to detail and genuine commitment to giving a structured environment for a fun-filled exploration of the world has set our boy up for the next step. Over our time at the school, our son regularly visited equivalent organizations in Europe and Asia as we travelled with work, and the staff in those locations were always STUNNED by his behavioral standards, understanding of concepts, vocabulary and progress… yet at KA, he was just one of the pack. I attribute his progress entirely to the caring environment KA created for him, and the loving approach all his teachers have taken to his development. FYI parents… they were heroes in the potty training phase too. So helpful. Thank you to the whole team. Our boy comes home every night asking if we can take you to his new school with him - he will miss you so much. Finally… The biggest complaint of touring parents is often the lack of windows in the facility. We seriously worried about this when choosing schools, but honestly - I don’t think it ever made a difference for our kid in 4 years. He got more time outside than his peers at some of the surrounding schools, and had the benefit of a bilingual education delivered by some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Don’t over think it :)
Christy AndersonMar 6, 2025Kiddie Academy is the only place I would ever send my child for preschool. I've never found a place that is both warm and loving but also equally academic and developmentally-minded. At Kiddie, you don't have to sacrifice one for the other. The teachers and administrative staff are all absolutely wonderful! They are kind, responsive, and always calm my anxieties as a first-time parent. They make my daughter feel loved and have helped her learn so much. Each teacher genuinely cares about their students, and even teachers that don't have my daughter in their class care about her. Everyone who works at Kiddie cares deeply about their job and takes it very seriously. The community is incredible and we have all made so many friends - both our daughter and us as parents! They provide so many opportunities for us to get to know the other kids and families. My daughter was counting to 15 in Spanish before she was even two years old!
