  • An amazing school in the heart of Georgetown! The Teachers are incredible, they balance being empathetic with encouraging independence, and are fantastic partners to have on your childrens educational journey. My daughter attended for three years and not only LOVED her time there, she started Kindergarten feeling very self assured and competent. My son currently attends and also loves going to school each day and to watch him grow/progress has been incredible. The Parent Community is inclusive and fun, the Teachers are tenured and approachable, you could not ask for a better school!

  • We have loved our experience at Georgetown Montessori. This will be my 3rd child who has gone through the school from Toddler to the oldest, Primary. The teachers are so loving. It all comes from the laid-back leadership of the Head of School Lee Allard, who celebrated her 40th year- Amazing dedication to early childhood development, the Georgetown community, and she still teaches in the classroom. Concerning the transition to the next school, my two children were accepted to all 5 school they applied to. They are both thriving at Beauvoir School. GMS created so much independence in my children. Loved at age 2, they can put on their own jacket. So lucky to be part of this intimate special school.

  • This year, we have our second child here, so collectively our third year at GMS. From the moment we saw the school and met with Mrs. Lee, we fell in love with the place and wouldn’t trade our time here for the world. In fact, we delayed an out of state move just so our youngest could go here. This little preschool has been the best experience for my children. They wake up happy every day excited to go to school.

  • Georgetown Montessori is a diverse pre-elementary educational school with lovely families from all over the world. My sons have had such wonderful experiences with teachers who genuinely care about building our children’s independence and it is obvious they love what they do! Our son is so happy to go to school every morning and has shown so much educational and social growth. We are very grateful to be part of the Georgetown Montessori School community!

  • This will be our family’s fourth year at GMS. The teachers and staff are like family. The facility is beautiful. The primary mixed-aged classroom (ages 3-6yo) is a large, light-filled, vaulted ceiling room, which leads directly out to their private, fenced in playground. They also have a toddler room for the 2 yo children. The head of school/founder and other teachers have been there for decades. Our children have learned so much and they love their school. They have music class once a week and a semi-private piano lessons are also offered to those who are interested. The school had its 40th anniversary this year and it was magical to see MULTIPLE current parents who were once themselves students! I completely trust this school and it’s teachers with my children and I cannot say enough great things about this school!
