We are going on our 3rd year having our children at Bethesda. We started with 1/2 day kindergarten for our middle child in 2022 and moved into part time daycare for our 1 year old in 2023. The teachers are very hands on, actually all the staff are, in the best way. They are very reassuring to timid parents (me) and encouraging to the kiddos. My middle is very shy and cried for the first few days that he didn't want to go. By October he was crying was on Saturday's he loved going so much. He transitioned beautifully into kindergarten thanks to our positive experience here. They follow the appo school schedule so when appo kids are out so are they. This was the only downfall as a working parent.
PaulineJun 27, 2024We sent our youngest son here after recommendations from friendly peers — he attended full day for Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the balance of play and what they’re learning! The children are engaged and love going, and are already learning how to read. We received (a lot) of class videos and pictures daily and are in special group with the other parents! We had two different sets of Ms. Jackie’s for each school year — and both were five stars. It’s amazing the difference of what our youngest son learned from our older son who attended a local school districts Pre-K program. We were very impressed by the school administration led by Lauren Cataldi-May.
Nikki ChambersFeb 10, 2022Our oldest two went to Bethesda years ago. We loved everything about the experience, from the classroom instruction and teacher care to the planned events for families. We sent our younger son to a different daycare and after a not-great experience moved him to Bethesda. It was the best move for us as parents and him as student. He’s so happy, so loved and they teachers and administrators are top-notch. I highly recommend Bethesda for preschool.
Laura CorderoJan 21, 2022Bethesda Child Developement Center is such a wonderful preschool/childcare center! The staff and teachers are incredibly nice, welcoming, and treat you and your child as family. I love that I get pictures of my child sent straight to my e-mail of what he's doing that day along with any updates concerning how he's doing and/or what to expect as far as planned events for the children in the upcoming days. They always have special events for the children planned and my child brings a full folder home every day of all the lessons he's completed and artwork he's created through the day! Their playground for recess is very nice and enclosed with fencing. The security system at Bethesda is great! Doors are locked at all times and no one is permitted to enter without first ringing the "bell" and being personally identified through the camera by staff. It is made clear to the parents that for the child's safety, no one is to hold the door open for anyone before first being identified by staff through the camera. That is understood, appreciated, and brings peace of mind! The staff takes the safety and protection of our children seriously! My child has learned so much from his amazing teacher and is always excited to show me what was learned that day when we get home! The child to teacher ratio is appropriate with around 10 to 2 (10 or less children with 1 teacher and 1 assistant per room). The rooms are well equipped and organized for learning and play! They have a great curriculum and they make it fun knowing that's how kids learn best! They are not just "sitters", they are actually qualified and certified educators! The center is insanely clean. The cleaning staff does an incredible job at keeping the center spotless! This center does accept POC which I find to be a great thing as that means they are under very strict regulations and policies that are put in place by the state. They undergo state qualifications and inspections on a yearly basis. They do an incredible job with everything and I am so thankful to God to have found such an amazing preschool/childcare center that also has amazing staff and teachers for my little one! We are beyond pleased with our experience at Bethesda. Also, be sure to check out their FaceBook Page for more information/pictures/etc.!
Tiffany Tells The TruthDec 13, 2018My experience with the teachers and administration is nothing but excellent. Wendy and Emily have been wonderful in answering all of my questions and making sure we as a family all feel comfortable. The teachers are kind and the school smells like bleach which in my eyes means clean. My daughter is talking better and begs me to go to school. I am happy we chose Bethesda.
Casey TuxwardDec 12, 2017A family member had told me to be on guard here just in case the sayings about the administration team being racist were true. I have witnessed the teachers being very kind and caring to the children, but the administrators definitely are more kind and helpful to the Caucasian children vs. the children of color and even staff of color. I over heard Wendy saying some very nasty things and am very disappointed considering this is a Christian child care. I pray things get better here and people are treated more fairly. Please beware if your child is Spanish speaking, Asian, or African American. They are not treated the same!
