Fresh Start Academy is horrific. My autistic son, who is particular about what he eats, attended before and after preschool for a couple months before he told me that he was screamed at and stuck upside his head for not eating. The reason he waited so long to tell me that he was being abused is because he thought he was being bad and he didn’t want to upset me like he upset the ladies at the daycare. Additionally, he witnessed a little girl get knocked down and told to “Shut up” because she wouldn’t stop crying. A woman spanked her several times and continued to berate her for crying. Most of the children who attend Fresh Start are under 3 years old and barely verbal, so i suspect more happens than this but there’s no way of knowing. I reported this incident to the state, but because I did not know the little girl’s identity, nothing could be done about it.

Their dirty, all they do is play, the kids are mixed in two rooms, they threaten children and tell them things like your mom cant beat me, what makes matters worst is that the staff use the same bathroom the kids do. There is only adult size toilets and the kids go to the bathroom unsupervised. This place deserves a -10. This place is horrific and i would not put my kids there.....
Shakeila BrownJul 18, 2018THIS IS THE WORST, DIRTIEST, DAYCARE ON DELAWARE SOIL. THE STAFF ISN'T PROFESSIONAL NOR ARE THE STAFF LICENSED, THE ONLY REASON THESE YOUNG GIRLS TAKE THEIR CHILDREN IS BECAUSE OF CONVIENCE. PLEASE IF YOU CAN TAKE YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN MAKE SURE YOU POP UP OFTEN....
