I’ve been meaning to leave a review and i kept forgetting! My 2, now teenage girls, went to GNB in Bear many years ago and i was absolutely happy!! When Newark location opened i hurried to enroll my almost toddler at the time! My biggest thing as a parent was the safety of my kids and the cleanliness, GNB is a top contender in this industry! I refused to send my kid to so many other daycares who called me back for enrollment and i waited until Newark location opened! My kid was always happy there, safe and well taken care of, as he grew older and finished preK there, he had so much knowledge that now when he is in kindergarten he is doing so well in school, at GNB he got a very good foundation and preparation for kindergarten! What i love about GNB also is that the rooms are with carpets, your kid can crawl and roll over and play without being cold, i’ve seen daycares with hardwood floors and its cold for a little kid to be on the ground all day.There were few times when i was not happy with certain things and there is room for improvement mostly in communication and customer service but for the most part it was workable, i used to spend hours watching the live cameras and the last year i don't think i opened it once because i knew my kid is safe! I do wish the modern world can somehow go back to 2014-2015 when the daycare was your saving grace during school closings for unimportant holidays or snow days, these days everyone now closes for the smallest inch of snow or something else irrelevant and people just don't care. I have expressed this before as a big downfall with 4-5 year olds- while the learning curriculum is amazing at GNB it lacks the preparation for kindergarten when it comes to napping, kids at that age who are about to enter kindergarten need to not be given an option to nap for 2-3 hours, the adjustment from 3 hour nap until today and starting with no naps at school tomorrow is very hard on the kids. But GNB will always be my to-go child center, i always tell my friends with small kids to check it out, Lin is great and so as the rest of the staff!!
Ginka gatevaJan 22, 2026We joined GNB right when the Newark center opened, and it's been great. The building is clean and has more of a “real school” vibe than a daycare. The cameras/internet viewing and app updates were included, so we always felt in the loop. Like everywhere, staffing can be tricky, but GNB really tries to keep things running smoothly and communicates when anything changes. Both of my kids loved going— they were excited every morning and really enjoyed their teachers. We were there for several years and experienced every age group class as well as their summer camp offering.

We are so grateful to have found GNB (Newark location). Pam is also amazing we love her! I cannot recommend this place enough! Your kiddos will be in great hands.

We were hesitant to have our 2 year old start at a center a few years ago, but we’re so glad we chose Great New Beginnings. The teachers and staff have been incredibly supportive, and the live cameras and photo updates in their app make us feel secure in knowing our children are safe in a caring environment! Our children have learned so much from each teacher they’ve had as they grow in the programs, and we’re so appreciative of the connections both the kids and we have made.

Initially worried if my daughter would transition well to a new school, the teachers and staff made sure my daughter felt comfortable and ready at every step and interaction. Everyone made us feel welcome, and you can tell they genuinely care about your child. We’ve had such a wonderful experience and our daughter is thriving and learning so much in such a short period of time. I cannot say enough good things about this school!

I know my son is in good hands every day. They help him progress and achieve important developmental milestones and I couldn’t be happier. 10 out 10
