Imagine sending your 3-year-old child to a place you believe is safe, only to pick them up with a bruise on their eye—with no incident report, no phone call, and it not even mentioned at pickup. Absolutely nothing. This our first daycare experience too! I immediately withdrew my kids. I wanted to like this place so badly, and Michelle seemed so nice, but it felt performative. When I brought the incident to her attention, she became defensive and dismissive. She told me the teacher is a great teacher and implied that I seem untrusting and have too many questions and concerns. Um, duh. My son came home with a visible bruise on his eye, received no first aid, and no one informed me. Trust is lost there. She never asked if my son was okay, nor did she apologize for the lack of action and supervision. My kids were also sent home with other children’s belongings, or their own items were missing. Michelle insisted the children go outside regardless of the weather and requested proper cold-weather gear like mittens—which were then lost. Their outdoor play area is outdated. They also held a parent-teacher conference where very little was discussed about what the children were actually learning or doing. My 4-year-old even told me they weren’t being treated well there. When I asked what he meant, he said, “They were aggressive.” A 4-year-old said that. WOW. Every morning, they did not want to go. However, I found an amazing place for my littles. They love it. I receive frequent updates throughout the day about what they’re learning. They even have a gym, which they love—especially when the weather is bad. All of the teachers are friendly, and I can genuinely tell they care about the children. Lesson learned. Please chose wisely and prioritize your kids safety and wellbeing when choosing a daycare
Lala KFeb 17, 2026we absolutely love KELC! our daughter is 4, this was our first experience with a daycare/preschool and we couldn't be more thrilled with our pick. Michelle and her team are so friendly, loving, kind, caring, compassionate and FUN! I know that with my daughter in their care, she is treated like she is one of their own children. she has thrived and every day (fine , 5 days a week) gets to spend the day with her best friends, which includes her teacher Miss Danni. 🩷 I recommend KELC to everyone .

Her teachers are qualified, friendly and patient, her teaching strategies are for all ages and her detail to early education is impeccable.
Lisa OrtegaAug 10, 2025My wife and I recently had our daughter attend kirkwood early learning center for our 9 year old. We were scrambling for coverage for our daughter as we both work and the prior arrangement had an emergency and we were stuck. Not only is this summer camp close to home, but our daughter had a very positive experience with the staff. We were met with a very positive and inclusive environment. Add in the fact that this was on 48 hours notice, Michelle(owner) and her team was very accommodating. We are going to finish out the summer with our current program, however next summer we will be going with kirkwood elc for summer camp! Five stars isn’t enough. This company really saved us when we were in a bind for childcare.

Michelle and her team are amazing! My son has already thrived in their care and is talking so much more. If you’re considering it, don’t hesitate to schedule a tour—you won’t regret it!
