  • My experience with Lynda was not great. My child started day care there in February and based on reviews it seemed like it was going to be good. We were thinking he was going to be learning in a smaller environment. That’s exactly what didn’t happen. I found out 4 months later that she would have my child watching tv all day (and would only turn it off when I was dropping off and picking up due to me not approving any tv time). I never signed the paperwork that allowed him to watch any tv. She then continued to not use the toddler tables for the kids to sit safely for meals. I also learned that she made inappropriate comments about my son’s hair (a biracial child) to another mother. She was also speaking badly about my child to other mothers, making him sound like he was bullying the other kids (which I never heard anything about from Lynda). She was also speaking badly about how he would walk. To top it all off, she was speaking badly about me as a mother to the other moms which is very unprofessional and inappropriate. I also found out that she had trained (forced) my son to sit/lay on his cot all day and not interact with the other kids there. This is just high level. Overall, I would not recommend putting your child in her care. As a parent, I’m supposed to trust that the caregiver is doing the right thing and in this case she was not and I don’t know how my son was being treated the whole time he was there. She blatantly favored another child because as she was accusing my son of being a bully, she told the other mother she would kick my son out before she let those parents remove their daughter. Btw, my son is the sweetest kid and always looks out for other kids at his very young age.

  • At first I loved having my daughter here, and was trying to help Lynda find kids to join the daycare because she always complained about money and also so my daughter wasnt alone. but there were a few times we needed to talk about the nap room door being closed due to a fire hazard, feeding my 8 month old a chocolate chip cookie and most recently asking her about her food program because the children were only eating nuggets and fish sticks. After speaking with other mothers involved all the kids were also coming home hungry and thirsty. The last straw was a parent I didnt talk to regularly calling me to tell me my newborn was shut in the room alone with no supervision crying in distress. I tried to call and check on my kids no response and pulled my children immediately. I feel like my kids and other kids were neglected and I hope no one else has to have this experience with someone they trusted deeply with their children.

  • Ms. Lynda is one of the best daycares around. My daughter attended Teachable moments for over 3 years. Currently my daughter is advance for her age and was able to start kindergarten early due to Ms. Lynda's teaching skills. She works with each child individually and studies their strengths and weakness. Ms. Lynda is NOT the kind of daycare that will sit your child in front of a tv. The children will consistently be in engaged in learning activities and outdoor play. Teachable Moments was everything we needed and more
