THE LITTLE SCHOOL AT KIDS COTTAGE

We have had the most incredible experience at The Little School Kids Cottage, Dover! My special needs son started attending when he turned 2 and absolutely LOVED going each day. He attended summer camp each summer as well. The directors and staff go above and beyond to provide care and support for every child that comes through the door! Being a military family on the move, it’s so wonderful to have a secure place to bring your child each that makes you feel like you are home. They create such fun events throughout the year to keep family involved and the kids excited! They are truly the BEST!

The Little School was one of the best experiences I had growing up! I was the youngest of three brothers who all attended and shared a similar experience. I am still in touch with the friends I made at the Little School to this day. I have made better connections and relationships with the teachers here than in any other school I have gone to, and I make an effort to see them whenever I get the chance. There is an indoor playground!!

Both my girls graduated from the little school after four amazing years for each of them! They thrived in this school, with teachers who went above and beyond to meet their needs! Their phonics and music programs really enriched the experience and I can’t say enough about the amazing staff. There is no where else I would send my kids, and I’m so grateful for the foundation they received to be successful school-agers, currently! Highly recommend!!

We are so proud to be a little school kids cottage family. We have previously attended two daycares and have never received care like we do here. My children run right into their classroom every morning. They are thriving with milestones and are just so happy all the time. My school age child is even happy to return this summer for summer camp. From the smiling faces greeting you in the morning all the ways to all the amazing teachers we are so thankful to be part of this family.

Both of our children graduated from the little school at Kids Cottage and we cannot say enough wonderful things about this incredible place! From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew it was the perfect environment for our kids to learn, grow, and thrive. The teachers are truly exceptional—warm, nurturing, and deeply committed to each child’s development. They create a loving and engaging atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. The curriculum strikes the perfect balance between structured learning and creative play, fostering both academic and social-emotional growth. Our kids developed a love for learning that will stay with them for years to come. The school itself is welcoming and well-organized, with thoughtfully designed classrooms and plenty of opportunities for hands-on exploration. We also appreciated the emphasis on community, where families are encouraged to be involved, and the teachers genuinely care about each child’s journey. Graduating from the little school at Kids Cottage was bittersweet because we knew we would miss this wonderful place, but we are so grateful for the foundation it provided. If you’re looking for a preschool where your child will be nurtured, inspired, and truly cared for, we highly recommend the little school at Kids Cottage!
