1st Step Academy is a phenomenal childcare system. Before my children were born my only niece attended 1st Step and I always thought it was neat that she was taught sign language from months on up. Now my 1 and 2 year old children have been attending since they were 6 weeks old and I couldn’t imagine any other place I would want to take my babies. This is a family run facility where your kids will be EDUCATED, LOVED ON, AND DISCIPLINED. I love my kids dearly and I am deeply grateful to have my kids in a program that is raising my kids with me….not watching them! I call the owners my family and they absolutely adore my kids. Beyond the day to day childcare, 1st Step Academy hosts monthly spiritual events, community events, and offers programs for the older kids which creates great opportunities to network. Securing daycare can be one of the most difficult decisions a parent can make and choosing this facility has been one of my wisest decisions! I have moved residents more than once and I have entertained the idea of switching daycares but there are no facilities that compare. 1st Step is hands down the best facility. They are DETAILED clean. They keep great quality staff. They keep the childcare app updated. They TEACH…even the infant room has a curriculum. 1st Step Academy is highly dedicated to investing in your child and have rates that can’t be beat!

Gleidys LastraFeb 25, 2026I wonder what happened to all the REAL reviews because this place is definitely a fraud. All of the good STAFF that cared for the kids seemed to no longer be there. The kids literally play ALL DAY, no learning or anything for school aged kids. Spoke with Jericka I believe that's her name and she seemed FAKE trying to get parents to enroll because after 2weeks in, It just didn't seem welcoming like it did for the tour & there are NO CAMERAS!!

Michelle MMay 4, 2022Most daycares are overpriced, but they are very reasonable. Two of my children attended this daycare. I would send my last baby there if we didn’t recently move to Villa Rica. I could always call the owner and ask for drop ins and her prices were always reasonable. She spoke to her employees with respect. Some of her employees have been there for over five years and that’s unusual and outstanding for a daycare. One of my kids, who is now 9 years old, remembers her time there & her former teacher, Ms. Tanya, with fond memories. I would recommend this daycare to anyone.
Kea Malone AlfordMay 21, 2021My child has been going to first step for 10 years. I have had the best experience during my stay. My child learned alot during his stay. I can honestly say the staff is wonderful and goes over and beyond to make sure that your child is very comfortable and your kid has the best experience and learning experience. If you are looking for a daycare then i recommend that you definitely give this daycare a chance.
