My child started at A Kids World around October 2024, and initially, we absolutely loved it. He had wonderful teachers in his first few classrooms, and we were very happy with the overall environment. At the time, we felt like we were getting great value for our money, including diapers, daily pictures, and regular updates through the app. Unfortunately, over the past year, there have been significant changes, including a change in management, and our experience has changed dramatically. One major issue was the $50 fee for exceeding the 10-hour limit by even one minute. There were also multiple occasions when we had questions about lowering our tuition as our son transitioned to different classrooms, and management was extremely unresponsive. We also experienced several incidents where my son's clothing was lost by the daycare. Despite bringing this to management's attention, there was little to no response or effort to address the situation or offer any type of compensation. My biggest concern, however, was the level of care he received in his final classroom. During the daytime, when the full teaching staff was present, he appeared to be cared for appropriately. However, in the late afternoon and evening, after some teachers left around 3–4 PM, the level of attention seemed to decline significantly. There were times when my son was not changed as regularly as he should have been. Staff also frequently did not know where his sippy cup was, and we would have to search multiple classrooms to find it. Another major red flag was my son's behavior after transitioning into his final classroom. He whined and cried every day for at least a month, even after having time to adjust. This was completely out of character based on his experiences in the previous classrooms, where we never had this issue. I can't say exactly what was happening in that classroom, but as a parent, it definitely raised concerns for me. Since moving him to a new center, he had no tears or crying on his very first day. That experience alone told me a lot. Children can't always explain what's wrong, but their behavior can tell you plenty. My advice to any parent considering this daycare is to do your research, ask questions, and make random/unannounced visits whenever possible. Don't rely solely on what you're told—pay attention to how your child behaves before, during, and after attending. I started off absolutely loving A Kids World and would have recommended it without hesitation. Unfortunately, after seeing the changes firsthand, I would no longer recommend it. It's disappointing to see how much the experience changed from what it was when my son first started. Parents, trust your instincts. If something doesn't feel right, pay attention. Your child's behavior may be telling you more than they can say.
Kendricka JohnsonAug 8, 2026My son is enrolled in the after-school program and we absolutely love Ms. Dae 🥰 she really has taken the time to get to know him and understand his personality. The relationship they have built really shows because he is always talking about the fun games and activities he does in her class and how much he loves her to our family. We are so thankful for Ms. Dae and all that she does!
Megan HolgateFeb 11, 2026We are so grateful for the impact Mrs Amanda had on our son last year. Her patience, encouragement, and genuine care made such a difference in his confidence and love for learning. She always created a positive classroom environment. We truly appreciate the dedication and hard work she puts into helping each child succeed. Any student would be lucky to have her as a teacher.
Destany JordanFeb 10, 2026My daughter has been at A Kids World Covington for the last two years, and her teacher, Ms. Aiesha, has been so patient and supportive. I especially want to thank Ms. Nina; she’s been a lifesaver. She’s taken the time to help my baby learn how to express herself and manage her feelings. My daughter is growing and thriving every day, and I truly appreciate all their support.
Kerry Ann CalvinJan 30, 2026My daughter Rylan is in the “red apples” class (hopefully for a brief period as she is three this month and moving to golden apples) Ive put her in two daycares prior to this learning center and the first was horrific she went one single day and I immediately pulled her out when she came home with a black eye jumping off a table….lack of supervision there. The second was KCS in Covington and while I don’t have any negative things to say about that daycare I do not feel she was adequately LEARNING anything, she was coming home using some questionable behaviors and words and teachers didn’t quite communicate development or how she was doing very well, so I pulled her out. The tour and parent orientation was very thorough and I truly appreciate how they share photos daily throughout the entire day I receive notifications on the secure parental app updating on her potty breaks, if she used the potty or pull up, what she ate, when she napped/for how long, activities that she did, and I get to visually see her through the photos shared making me not feel so far from her when I am at work, and like I’m not missing out on her growth or experiences. Which I love love love. If I could be with her 24/7 I truly would so I appreciate how dedicated they are to including parents and sharing the daily day to day things my daughter is doing while In the care of her teachers. She has only started just this week, but so far so good. Thank you guys! :)
