My daughter has been in the program since she was 8 months old she is now 4. After a good run we recently left the program this year. With the turn around in staff and policies I’ve been pretty grateful and satisfied with services rendered, Ms. Kim, Ms. Tameela, and Ms. Bri ALWAYS kept a clear line of communication with me when they were teaching and supervising my baby, however the past year has been a bit frustrating with certain staff members who have seemed to neglect to inform me of behavioral issues. A particular child had been hitting my little girl and it was hardly communicated to me I had to find out from my daughter telling me or noticing scratches/markings on her. My daughter had to have a front tooth pulled March of this year as a result of “trauma” I understand children play, fall, and get hurt from time to time, fortunately my daughter speaks well enough and told me herself that this particular child hit her tooth I noticed the discoloration prior but assumed it was something her dental hygienist placed on her tooth. It’s upsetting to me that it wasn’t documented nor brought to my attention I had to find out at a routine DENTIST appointment. I felt like a specific teacher she had voluntarily neglected to inform of the incident.
Ebonee WebsterOct 10, 2025This is a wonderful place that helps those who are just in need times in their life. That might need to support for their families and especially their children. The educational area and day care provides the best teachers, love, and care that anyone could have. The donations continue to come in, but unfortunately, due to the lack of consistency of employees / workers or the lack of, They cannot help as many families as normally would be welcomed into this beautiful professional facility of love and care. Shout out to Ms.Bri who has found her forever home and shares her heart and loving spirit to those who cross her path at Atlanta Children Shelter!❤️
Lontina BruceDec 9, 2023This is a place I take my son on his birthday to help instill appreciation and give back instead of expecting to receive. The Atlanta children's shelter is very well organized. From security to routines or simply accepting a donation. They have made it very easy for the Atlanta Community. Thank you for all of your hard work.
Laila AzagJan 27, 2023My child kept coming home complaining of being hit and having bite marks and scratches to prove it. He was soiled many times at pick up with urine or mucous dried all over his face and any time I asked the teachers what happened nobody saw anything and nobody knew anything. The last time I addressed my child being hit all staff with the exception of ONE chose to ignore me collectively so I removed my child from ACS. Donations and toys are irrelevant when the children here are being abused.
Anomalous SolarisOct 6, 2022I called and let me just say… How snobby… they only accept clothing with tags still on them… sadly i have really nice clothes, my daughter is a model and simply has too much, some of this stuff looks brand new… and a few items do have the tags… but apparently homeless in Atlanta due to a pandemic that is now basically over… want only clothing with tags still on them! What a joke! You think a homeless person needs to see a tag? That’s okay I’m not driving into Atlanta to donate clothes with tags on them! I shopped consignment when i was a young single mom struggling but Atlanta homeless are too good for anything without a new tag on it!?? Obviously this location has lost their grip on reality during said pandemic. They have too much here at this location so be sure and donate somewhere else!
Ann PAug 8, 2022People here are super friendly. I donated toys for Christmas, but was told they had soooooo many toys, so they suggested that I leave my toys for the kids birthdays.. I love the fact the suggested that!
