  • Very informative museum with amazing staff. Please drop by whenever you visit or pass through Cartersville.

  • I visited the museum recently and was impressed by the beautiful building and surrounding area. Bartow History Museum is a gem housed in a restored old courthouse, with two floors of well-presented, engaging exhibits. The children’s interactive room makes it especially family-friendly, and the museum offers seasonal events and summer camps that keep the experience fresh. The gift shop is a standout, featuring books and unique items from local artists. Best of all, the staff are warm and welcoming, making every visit enjoyable. I highly recommend visiting whenever you’re in the area.

  • My husband and I went for the first time today even though we both grew up around here. The building was beautiful but the museum part seemed to be lacking a little. Also the upstairs was very warm today. We were both sweating before we got through it so we cut our visit short. Part of the displays were really neat but others seemed like things you’d buy at yard sales. I also wish there had been more information on some things. Not too bad for the price but wouldn’t make a second trip.

  • Referred to the museum by the young lady at the Welcome Center. Pat greeted us and was so very friendly. Born and raised in Cartersville, she shared a wealth of knowledge of the downtown area. Beautiful building and well presented exhibits. I thanked Trey and Pat for preserving the history.

  • Neat museum in the old courthouse building. It had great pine columns and beautiful hardwood floors. It's nice to learn about the local area, whether you're from here or not. Sweet lady greets you and gives you a brief history of the museum and Cartersville itself. Would recommend if your in the city.

  • Under rated small museum with local history and charm. I learn so much about a town and county by visiting the local history on display. This is really worth a look

Questions parents ask about Bartow History Museum

Is Bartow History Museum a licensed child care provider in Georgia?

Bartow History Museum holds Georgia record EX-48082, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Bartow County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.

Why is Bartow History Museum exempt from licensing in Georgia?

Georgia records Bartow History Museum under the "Day Camp and School Breaks" exemption. An exempt programme is not licensed by the state and is not held to the same standards as a licensed centre or home, so ask the provider directly what oversight it does operate under.

What is Bartow History Museum's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?

Georgia publishes no Quality Rated star rating for Bartow History Museum. Participation is voluntary, so a provider without a rating has not been assessed under the programme rather than been rated poorly, and it is licensed and inspected either way.

Does this page show inspection results for Bartow History Museum?

No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects Bartow History Museum's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
