do not send your children here. i would give it a 0 star if i could. i have numerous concerns with this daycare and would not recommend. first, parents are required to fill out daily paperwork about their child's day, yet the center has the Procare app, which is supposedly meant for communication and updates. unfortunately, the app is not used effectively. it frequently logs people out, has issues with sign-in and sign-out functions, and is generally unreliable. the most recent state survey reported cited concerns related to supervision. as a parent, that is alarming because proper supervision should be one of the most important responsibilities of any childcare provider. communication is also a major problem. if you call the center, the phone often rings repeatedly before going to voicemail. in the mornings, there is frequently no one at the front desk, making it difficult to speak with anyone in person. another concern is management. the food service employee and bus driver was promoted to assisted director within a very short period of time. it left me questioning what qualifications or accomplishments led to that promotion, especially when there were other employees who appeared more deserving of the opportunity. the communication with the director is extremely frustrating. conversations often felt like they went in circles, and concerns were rarely addressed with clear answers or meaningful resolution. instead of leaving discussions feeling informed or reassured, i often left feeling like nothing had actually been resolved. the after-school program also seems poorly supervised. on many occasions, there were large groups of children screaming and creating chaos while staff sat by without actively managing the situation. i have also had to report incidents involving staff behavior. in one case, a child was forcefully pulled into a classroom by a teacher. after reviewing the footage (which the parent cannot see) management acknowledged that the teacher had been forceful and stated that the matter would be addressed with a "talking-to". the response did not inspire confidence that the situation was taken seriously. overall i found communication, supervision, accountability and management to be lacking. concerns often seem to get dismissed or redirected rather than properly addressed. based on my experience, i would not recommend this center to other families. please look at the state reports on bright from the start website and you can read about supervision, teachers not compliant with state training and certifications, file not completing and missing documentation.

We absolutely LOVED our experience at Big Blue Marble Academy! From the amazing teachers to the caring staff, this school has been such a blessing for our family. Ms. Tracy and Ms. Abby are truly incredible teachers - patient, loving, organized, and so invested in the children. You can tell they genuinely care about every child who walks through their classroom doors. The school is always clean, welcoming, and well-run. They host the sweetest celebrations and events throughout the year like Easter festivities and “Muffins with Mom,” which made our daughter feel so special and created wonderful memories for our family. The front desk staff is always polite, helpful, and friendly, and the communication from the school has been excellent. Big Blue Marble Academy is truly top-notch, and we are so thankful for the love, care, and education our daughter received here. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a nurturing and fun environment for their child! ❤️

This was my son’s first time in any school / day care setting. He was very quiet at first when he first started. I feel that once he got used to his teachers/ classmates, the school environment made him feel safe and comfortable. His teachers have also assisted in guiding my son through his potty training journey. Making sure he goes every hour because at times he wouldn’t speak up and acknowledge that he needs to go. I appreciate how much he has grown in the time he has been enrolled at Big Blue Marble Academy

I highly recommend Big Blue Marble Academy! We can clearly see how hard the director and assistant director, Janet and Stacy (as well as all of the teachers and caregivers) work and care for not just our son, but all of the kids at BBMA. There are constant improvements to the classroom and shared spaces. Communication is top notch through an easy to use app with updates and pictures throughout the day.

They communicate openly, keep me updated, and are always willing to listen or offer reassurance when needed.
